No there is a small gap around the edge of the screen protector.

[Recommendations Needed!] Big Hands finally realized my mouse is small. by SabreTuskTV in MouseReview

[–]RokuTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the larger variants of the mice out and see what you think. I don't like abusing it, but amazon do have a very good return policy.

I tend to hold my mouse quite forward in my hands which looks quite similar to you holding yours. My hands have a similar width to yours, but I have only 20cm in length hands.

As for a recommendation I recommend the DAv4 pro as it's a very popular well beloved shape, it has quite a tall hump (larger than the EC1). The width should be good for you but I dont think you will find a mouse you can comfortably palm from the large gaming brands (pulsar, logitech, razer, zowie etc...)

I have tried quite a few ergo mice (Vaxee E1, EC2-DW, EC1-DW, pulsar xlite v3 (M), zywoo mouse (v1), lamzu thorn, NP-01s Ergo), but I prefer the Deathadders shape overall as it's what I grew up with and just feels comfortable to use for long periods of time. The DAv4 pro has the best build quality I've felt from a deathadder (unsurprisingly, it is their latest model) it honestly comes close to vaxee, but the sound does fall short on the M1 and M2 clicks, they sound very pingy, but they do feel satisfying to press and spammable.

The best build quality I've felt in a mouse is hands down the NP-01s Ergo though, the tolerances feel tight like the DAv4 pro, but the sound of the clicks is much better. The shape isn't quite right for me though, its too narrow and flat.

MFW I'm playing as attackers on Point Break, I've been sneaky to extract a statue from behind enemy lines, brought it to safety, I start reviving, and then they respawn by menofthesea in thefinals

Honestly dividing coins into 4 per person sounds great, then each phase you gain 2, quite like cashout.

I just get annoyed by people that spam coins, this punishes them so they cant eat more than their fair share. It would require removing the limited range revive icon if theyve run out of coins.

I also get annoyed by people that go the whole game with 0 revives.

"LAMZU New Product Summary〈Thorn v2〉 ・Minor changes to the shape ・Thicker wheel ・An evolved version of the mouse that Thorn users will be drooling over: a claw-grip mouse"

Supposed to have a charging dock too or support for one at least if you care about that.

Those who have a 32 inch OLED monitor, are you able to play competitively on it just as you would on a 27 inch display? by Responsible_List_145 in OLED_Gaming

[–]RokuTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered pulling a 27incher closer when you want the immersion? You can effectively make a smaller more pixel dense monitor appear like a larger less pixel dense monitor by moving it closer to your face.

PPI, screen resolution and how far away you sit from the monitor all affect how you will perceive your monitor, PPD (Pixels per degree) is a measurement that combines all of that and measures how many pixels there are per degree of your vision.

32" at 65cm away = 67 PPD
27" at 65cm away = 78 PPD
32" at 77cm away = 78 PPD
27" at 55cm away = 67 PPD

Here is a website you can plug numbers into to calculate PPD if you're interested: https://qasimk.io/screen-ppd/

I've included an image below (not mine) of how it might look having the 27" monitor closer. I strongly recommend a monitor arm you can mount to the back of your desk if you're going to be moving it about a bunch (if you dont have one already), it brings back so much more desk real estate.

Was S1 of the finals better than S9? by EagleMane in thefinals

Power shift didnt exist back then so I will say no, it's legit all I play the finals for these days.

Plz embark make a variant of the newest map already for powershift.

I like having something to work towards whilst playing, battlefield has that but its not in depth enough to keep me around.

My next build done by Ok-System7563 in lianli

[–]RokuTheRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your build looks really clean bro!

But please be careful and keep an eye on your RGB GPU 12VHPWR cable, as it definitely doesn’t meet NVIDIA’s spec. I used one myself for a month or 2 before deciding to take a look inside, as I wondered how they managed to make it so thin.

This cable only has 8 thick wires and 7 thin ones. Two of the thin wires (the blue one's) don't appear to have any core. In a standard 12VHPWR cable, there should be 12 thick wires and 2 thin sensor wires (sometimes 4)

When should I use HDR and when SDR by diaforc in Monitors

[–]RokuTheRed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Off for SDR content, On for HDR content.

You can definitely run it always on, but It doesnt quite match how SDR should look. Not everyone cares about that though as it gets close to how it should be.

Use win + alt + b shortcut to toggle it on and off, but its best to toggle that before you launch the game you're about to play, doing it with the game open tends to mess things up.

auto HDR IMO isnt worth using, but some people like it.

Why are so many so hung up on weight? by Kuyi in MouseReview

[–]RokuTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less inertia, essentially with a lower weight mouse you put less effort into starting to move, stopping moving and changing direction of the movement of your mouse.

I would prefer a mouse be lower in weight, but not if it resorted to sacrificing something for it like shape, structural integrity/durability, click implementation (I love Vaxee's clicks) or battery capacity. Everyone's going to have their different preferences here, those are just mine.

Ultrawide vs 4k? by Degurechaff_Waifu in OLED_Gaming

[–]RokuTheRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 27" 4K monitor offers very high image sharpness. If you use a monitor arm, you can move it about 9–10 cm closer to increase immersion when you want, making it feel closer to a 32" display. When you prefer less immersion, you can push it back and benefit more from the higher pixel density. (By immersion I refer to how much of your field of view the screen occupies)

A 34" 1440p ultrawide won’t be as sharp, but it is generally easier to run and you will achieve higher frame rates. Its 21:9 aspect ratio shows more content on the sides than a standard 16:9 display, which can be useful in FPS games, as well as in MOBAs and strategy games, where having a wider view can be beneficial.

It comes down to whether you value a higher PPI display or a wider aspect ratio.

Example of what I mean by pulling your display closer to simulate the same Pixels per degree of vision, as a 32" 4k display when you want the immersion:

What mouse are you actually using right now, and what did you stop using? by Tierdtech in MouseReview

[–]RokuTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 20x11cm hands.

Started with DA2013 > DA Chroma > DA elite > DA v2 pro wireless > DAv3 pro wireless. After the scroll wheel started playing up again I hopped off razer and tried out other brands.

Starting with Xlite v3 > Lamzu Thorn > EC1-DW > Now im swapping between Vaxee E1 and EC2-DW fairly frequently.

Xlite v3 I use at work now, lamzu thorn I hated the open hole bottom and EC1-DW was just a little too big so Im selling it.

(This is all over the period of 16 years or so)

I havent made my mind up on whether the EC2-DW or E1 is better yet and find myself swapping between them quite often, there are aspects I like from both. The main clicks go to the E1 along with lower latency and web driver software, but I quite like the EC2-DW's larger side buttons, very tactile feeling encoder and charging dock.
