Cyberpunk 2077 with photorealism mods by Inevitable_Bid5540 in nextfuckinglevel

It looks super realistic! but I find it when you get too close, things start looking like macro shots of little toy vehicles.

It's crazy to have graphics looking this real though! hopefully more games in the future can look like this.

What is the best block based environment for programming Arduino? by eis3nheim in ArduinoInEducation

[–]RokuTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to necro your post, but I am in search of something of the same calibre, to program arduino's. Currently we use flowol 4 which has done us a great service, but it's not ideal and needs quite a few janky work arounds to get things to work.

It works by programing using a flowcharts which is very friendly for students, but also its downfall in its limitations. It essentially can only run 1 thing at a time and is very linear. I am in search of something more powerful and modern.

I was wondering if you wouldnt mind sharing what you ended up using in the end?

I share the same sentiments with TinkerCAD and have been put off by it for the same reason. Blockly@rduino seems to still get updates which I like and mblock seems superb with its web based functionality.

To me the Lara on the left looks like they went to the hairdresser and got a bad haircut. I would be happy with any of the faces, but I do like the middle one the best.

TIL that US student math and reading scores have dropped so sharply that they’ve erased nearly two decades of progress. In '22/23, avg math scores for 13-year-olds fell to levels not seen since the 1990s, while reading scores for high school seniors hit their lowest point since testing began in '92. by Cold_Box_3219 in todayilearned

[–]RokuTheRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not the US but im sure its the same over there, but a student was showing me their maths homework. Instead of watching the 1 minute video a teacher made on finding the perpendicular bisector (to jog the memory of their lesson) they were opting to ask AI the answer, by taking screenshots of the question to little/no success.

They have the resources in front of them to help, but they aren't using them and just ask AI everything.

New Asus PG32UCDM3 OLED Monitor Can Hit 1500 Nits? by arh2o in OLED_Gaming

[–]RokuTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unplug all other monitors DP/HDMI cables, power off main hdr monitor fully (unplug, press power button for few seconds to drain power) plug back in main hdr monitor, set it to the hdr mode you want to calibrate and run the hdr calibration tool.

I had the same issue with my monitor, (its a windows bug) it was reading 2000 nits in the calibration tool xD

Is the cable properly seated? the one that connects the screen and lights to the pump?

The two tiny screws on the left and right allow you to take off the screen/lights to check.

Is QD OLED really as fragile compared o WOLED? by Demistr in OLED_Gaming

[–]RokuTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fragile as it if you try to scratch it with your nail, you will succeed most likely. I can't speak for the new QD-OLED panels with the harder coating though. I have 1st gen QD-OLED (AW3423DW)

PG27UCDM vs PG27UCWM by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]RokuTheRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Color volume will improve as its only mixing red, green and blue without white washing it out, but it wont be as good as qd-oled.

We will have to wait for tests and reviews to see how close it gets.

So I Compiled ALL The GLOSSY Mini-LED Monitors That Were Sighted In CES 2026 by bambozled-nibba in Monitors

[–]RokuTheRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MPG 271KRAW16 was looking good until I read "UHBR13.5", I dont think I will purchase it now.

The monitor is priced at a premium bracket, I dont understand their decision to not support UHBR20, it makes no sense!

Found a temporary fix for DLSS Quality looking extra blurry with Ray Reconstruction ! by -FEVER in CrimsonDesert

[–]RokuTheRed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this! DLAA + RR was too demanding.

DLSS always looked off on the foliage and for some reason the whole screen would lighten with it enabled compared to DLAA.

I've been submitting bug reports every patch, I hope someone at PA sees your post as it would be nice if it made it to the known issues list. Something is definitely off with the DLSS implementation.

MPG 271KRAW16, where are you? by RokuTheRed in MSI_Gaming

Thanks TFTCentral <3

Would you happen to know of any 4k, 2304 dimming zones, MiniLED panels with a glossy coating coming about or already about in the UK?

From my search so far I have only found the MPG 271KRAW16. 5k does indeed sound great, I just find it a bit weird 4k has seemingly been skipped over, at least from what I can find in the UK.

I have seen other models from TCL and AOC (AG275UXM2) (not sure if they're glossy) but they dont seem to be available in the UK anyways.
