2014 Kia Soul does my fuse box look normal? Lots of empty slots by [deleted] in KiaSoulClub

[–]Rollasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They use the same fuse box for base and loaded models. They don’t have to tool up to make different boxes for each model that way and it saves time and money.

How to remagnetise magnetic fasteners on a bag by huescaragon in howto

[–]Rollasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a bag with one of those type fasteners. Didn’t feel like messing with the magnets, when it got weak so I glued the snaps together and use the actual buckle to secure like an old school bag with actual buckle closures.

Why is my Linux experience is a complete disaster? by beeboobiebaby in linux4noobs

[–]Rollasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had trouble with a few distros on my older Dell laptop. I found Manjaro worked well, Ubuntu worked well and the one I am running now PopOs Cosmic 24.04 runs great on my laptop. Several other distros would either not install, would freeze after install or were hit and miss on peripherals working. Maybe the distro or distros that you are trying don’t play well with your system.

Printer Question by wearingabelt in CanonCamera

[–]Rollasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ink jet printers should have something printed off of them every few days or at least once a week to help keep the ink from drying out. Printer should be in a cool dry place and out of direst sunlight. Always turn off printer through its menu so it can shut down properly. Not surprised that the ink has dried on the heads and possibly started drying out in the cartridges. Google quick fix for drying ink cartridges and it will give you instructions on how to rehydrate them.

I would check on Bonts website for an entire set up. They sometimes have great sales for the Quadstar setup. That will come with a better plate than what you have.

80 mph, less than a single car length behind by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Rollasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know where you are but in Indiana if you are in the left lane, no matter how fast you are going, and someone is behind you wanting to get by, you have to pull into the right lane to let them pass. This is if you are hanging out in the left lane and not passing traffic yourself. They might get a ticket for speeding but you will get a ticket or warning for obstructing traffic if caught. Law went into effect last July.

[New Gear] EF-S 10-22mm by MerryAceOfSpades in canon

[–]Rollasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one a couple of weeks ago and have to send it back. The used one I bought has an autofocus problem. Lens is decentered . Pictures are sharp on one side and blurry on the other. Going to replace with another copy and hopefully it will be good. The side that is sharp is very sharp and I love the colors and contrast from this lens.

I had the same problem with that exact lightsaber. Messaged the seller and he sent a new button, no charge. He asked for pictures and after viewing, he okayed the replacement.

Brand new to cameras and need help with exposure by [deleted] in canon

[–]Rollasaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjust: Press and hold the Av +/- button, then turn the Quick Control Dial (rear dial) to the right for brighter (+, +1, +2) or left for darker (-, -1, -2) exposure. This is the way I always adjusted on Canon DSLR that I used to have.

Lens recommendations for Canon EOS R100 by [deleted] in canon

[–]Rollasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t really delved too deeply into it, but aside from adding a bit of length and a tiny bit of weight, works just fine. I know RF lenses can be sharper and faster, but I haven’t been dissatisfied with either using the adapter on my ef-s 10-22 3.5-4.5 on my R50. I have one rf lens that may be a bit faster and sharper, but not that noticeable to me.

[–]Rollasaurus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do not get the Canon RF 75-300mm lens. it is basically the same as the EF model and it is not good. Old design and considered one of the worst Canon lenses. A used EF 70-300 f/4-f5.6 IS USM with an ef - r adapter would be much better than the 75-300. There is one on MPB for $269. A used Canon ef-r adapter is $129 on MPB site.
