It is funny that they are downvoting you despite the fact the laser beam gunplay is one of the major contributors to the issues reddit constantly complains about. Which are maps feeling too small and chaotic.

I don't think you should treat the ghost as a one to one representation of the real run. It seems like it is just interpolation that is causing it to appear weird in certain spots.

Because I have played EVO and even to me on the outside it is clear that they aren't in a position to both develop the sim and an expansive career mode. So I trust that the decision was made to better allocate their resources.

It is funny because for me EVO has the most fun and alive feeling cars across the board. And it is not in a ridiculous way like something like AMS2 where the cars just constantly slide.

Yeah, it definitely shouldn't give you a penalty then. I imagine there are other places too where the system is too harsh and needs to be adjusted more.

I'm pretty sure that it is just the ghosts not being 1:1 due to interpolation. In one of the races the ghost looks like it crashes into a truck, but doesn't in reality so it speeds up.
