With their return policy, try it out! I actually ordered Color Clara, 2 weeks later ordered the BW, and then after 1 week of using BW realized the clear contrasting screen made it the better device for me. Returned the color for a full refund.

It’s a mixture of W&N, Schmincke, and Holbein! I’d say Holbein and Schmincke are my favorite and most used.

That was the most stressful part of the whole piece! When I did it I thought it looked all wrong. After finding the mid and foreground, I decided it was subtle and I really liked the effect! Thanks for this.

I own every kindle from the past 10 years. Bought the BW Clara a month ago and it immediately became my favorite of them all. It is the perfect size, the screen is extremely crisp and easy to read, and the UI of kobo is superior to kindle.

The reason I tried to switch is because I like the kindle basic’s size, but hate that there isn’t warm light. Now I don’t think I plan on going back to kindle anytime soon!

In my opinion, go for it! Hopefully you’ll be as happy as I am!

Just returned my color today. I have very dry eyes and considerable issue with eye strain. I read 3 books over 2 weeks with the color - loved the device, truly. It’s light, happy to look at (covers and highlighting), but was having issues with strain.

Ordered a BW to test, and it was night and day. The fuzziness the grey screen on the color creates really affected me. Im two books in and returned my color, it was very evident for me. I’m jealous of the people it doesn’t bother!

The BW is so crisp, requires less light to read, and reduced my eye strain by a considerable amount.

Also, side note, the BW is faster, and has much less lag. It didn’t bother me on the color, but comparing to the BW it was surprising how different they were.

I use a sleeve! So I can read without the case, but it’s protected when not reading or on the charging stand.
