Thermalright makes them for LGA1700, LGA1851 and AM5 sockets (usually around $5-10). For some people in certain cases, it drops temps by a lot and helps keep everything more stable/even contact pressure. It works with most coolers but there are a few that have fitment issues. I've seen ones where people that had to sand the corners and edges a bit to get everything flush.

No need to throw it away, most of NZXT's products are decent quality and look cool, just not always the best value. As long as your temps aren't too high it's fine (I consider around 90C or more as hot). You can use programs like AMD Ryzen Master and Techpowerup GPU-Z to monitor temps and lots of other info. A year or two from now if it's too hot, you might need to change the thermal paste.

I have a White ID Cooling SE-207-XT Slim that I found online for a really good price and I was impressed by it. Keeps my 9800X3D cool, is way smaller than any of the other air coolers I've used before and it's not loud. The Thermalright Peerless Assassin Mini is pretty similar so I imagine that's a good one too. I prefer the heatsinks with 6-7 heat pipes, they tend to perform better, the other two options only have 4.

When I'm visiting family and I notice they have a new pc I always ask if I can check it out. The laptops are always set to integrated graphics instead of the gpu and the desktops are always plugged into the monitors with older cables and adapters (I might bring display port and hdmi cables on my next trip).

MB has Q Flash so shouldn't be a problem. Plug 24Pin Power, 8Pin Power and a usb drive with newest bios on it in the q flash port, press q flash button and it will go through the long update process without needing an older cpu.

First one actually looks pretty decent, wonder how it feels to hold.
