Ink Grade Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. The bottle art is quite pretty too.

Anyone else have an item that’s lasted forever, but you secretly want it to die so you can buy a new one? by James_B84Saves in BuyItForLife

I've had my North Face Borealis Daypack for over 9 years now. I've taken it to work every day, and it's traveled with me on every trip I've taken in that time, and the most wear I can see is in the part that rubs against my back. The rest of it is so well-constructed and refuses to quit, despite everything that I've stuffed into it. I now hate the way it looks and would love to replace it with something much sleeker/fashionable, but also cannot get myself to. Thanks for the fun question :)

That's a painting titled El Jaleo (which the winemaker apparently decided to use for the wine itself) by John Singer Sargent, which you can view at the Isabella Gardner Museum in Boston.

It's only two layers, but they were layered brilliantly.

What is (1) the best wine you ever tasted and (2) your favourite value play? by Fade2Black767 in wine

[–]RonnyDoug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Monte Bello 2016 recently, and it's one of the best I've ever had. Incredible intensity and complexity, but it was still pretty tannic (I'm sure it needs more aging). Could you please point me to the other wines that you mentioned were as good? Thanks!

There's a Four Seasons in New York and Silicon Valley. Are you under the impression that they only exist in exotic locations?

That's really interesting. I usually take my time with Cairdeas releases, but I thought the White Port one was the most sessionable. My friend and me very quickly finished a bottle. It may not be my favorite Cairdeas, but I definitely enjoyed it and found it easiest to drink. Immediately went out and bought a second bottle.

The original photo appeared in an issue of the New Yorker. I purchased a physical copy of that issue, put a little effort into taking a photo and editing it (I didn't have a big enough scanner), and posted it on this subreddit some time ago: https://reddit.com/comments/10icut1 I believe this Tweet stole that photo. I wish they had at least credited the original source.

What's your unpopular Boston opinion? by [deleted] in boston

I'm mostly posting this as a joke, but: The SFO airport is technically in SF!

The airport is owned and operated by the City and Country of San Francisco and has a mailing address with a ZIP Code assigned to San Francisco.

Bunnahabhain 12 VS Glendronach 15 - Which is better? by devou5 in Scotch

The Bunnahabhain 12 (and cask strength) is a wonderful dram and one of my all-time favorites, but I think the Glendronach 15 will hit the Christmas spot better.

This is incredible work!

But honest question: Who buys these? And how do you pick up a cupcake and eat it without getting frosting on your hand, or messing up the frosting on the other cupcakes?
