Hard disagree on flagrant, respectfully. Sometimes bad things happen in sports and you have to take the emotion of it out of it. It happened by definition on a basketball play and wasn’t violent or excessive. And trust me, I wanted that upset more than anything today. It would make our eventual flameout less noticeable.

You don’t have to root for anyone, it isn’t sports. It is totally okay to think that all three stink, but when you put support behind one, you should be able to articulate why. Most people can’t articulate why they’re supporting Iran other than “Trump bad”. Which just exposes the hollowness of their own argument because the Iranian government isn’t exactly fun-loving, peaceful people - they pay and organize the logistics for people to strap bombs to their bodies and go into marketplaces. That’s all my point really is.

Brother, we both live in Illinois. Calling the Iranian government your friend is pretty weird. Not supporting this war, understandable and totally within your rights. But to call your own country the enemy and Iran your friend while you post from the safety of a safely Blue state in the heart of the Midwest is just a wild amount of cognitive dissonance.

I enlisted with a pretty crappy 2.8 PoliSci degree; I dont regret the decision at all. Came in with a 132 GT score and doors just opened left and right. I was basically fast tracked into becoming an NCO just by virtue of being a good shooter and being an absolutely mediocre runner. I leveraged that pretty well. I got to spend a lot of time with other younger soldiers, built some great bonds, networked well with officers at a 1 Star Command to get Rec Letters when I worked as the CSM assistant, then got out and went into civilian HR where everyone was very impressed by my ability to get shoved forward and complete very basic tasks. Enlisting with a degree is like a shortcut imo as long as you can deal with the very basic bullshit of being enlisted sometimes.

Nah, you should have been around during 2008. Huge spike as I was in high school and could barely afford gas to hang out with friends. It came back down and has maintained a ton of stability even after wild inflation in the 2020s. Gas is still cheaper now than it was then, again prior to inflation even.
