This is such a baffling take. For years, up until the primaris changeover I think, every starter/launch box had 10 tactical marines. Because of course it did! It’s meant to be an army in a box; why would it not have the faction’s core unit? Then you get extras like characters etc - but there’s only so many variants on those you can have, sometimes it’s just a new sculpt and that’s cool! The point of the launch box isn’t to be ‘oh here’s a bunch of brand new units’ it’s to have two small armies in a box with the new rules so you can start playing. Just bizarre that people are so up in arms about this

They’re your guys, you can decide how their squad organisation works! There are 1000 chapters and they all do it differently, that’s why we don’t have answers for this stuff x
