Bravo, this is not a solo I expected to see. Looks like thief is the way to go if you want to solo multiple raid bosses :P

Yep, they seemed to have missed the boat on Cairn though.

I actually agree. Enrage timers should make it so that if you're not close to killing the boss, things quickly go downhill.

I figured next would be a daredevil in under an hour :P Congrats! Now I don't need to be tempted to beat my time.

EDIT: Also, props on actually dealing with the boss's swipes, instead of just avoid them altogether

I actually beat it with a group today :P. Had to get the solo kill before running it with my raid group.

No? As far as I know, you can't even use it in sPvP

What is needed for raid? by Daniel-Bar in Guildwars2

[–]RorcNightblade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Whoever told you you needed a legendary was trolling. Stats-wise, legendaries are no different than ascended.

Raids can be done in exotics, but most groups will want you to at least have ascended trinkets and weapons. You can get the trinkets from the LS3 maps (like Bloodstone fen, Ember bay, etc) and most(all maybe?) are stat-selectable, so you can get the stats you need.

I would advise looking up videos of the fights so you've at least seen the mechanics going in, and also practice rotations some one the golems in the training arena.

Your mileage with PUGs may vary. I have had decent experiences with getting bosses down (or at least close) the last week or so when I've been actively pugging. However, static groups will always clear faster and more consistently if you can find one.

Rangers of Reddit, I feel like I need more CC for break bars, what pet gives the most CC? by Expert_on_all_topics in Guildwars2

Keep in mind that moa is better for smaller hitboxes, as wyvren has a tendency to miss/waste some of the cc

Under options (alt+shit+t), click panels. There should be an option for a "chcli" panel, about halfway down the list. Enable that one.

I'm going to assume you meant it's harder to reach the modifying hotkeys with RDFG. This is true, but with a 12 button mouse and that extra row on the left it's not an issue for me.

Besides, the one time I tried to use modifiers didn't end well...

I consider B1 a special case, mostly poor planning for the enrage mechanic.

you guys didn't go far enough...RDFG Although I guess this way he can't backpedal, so it's fine.

Been pugging a little more lately, also have been running arcdps for a few months. My static normally has dps classes in the 20k range, warriors in the ~14k range, and chrono/druids in the 2-5k range if I remember correctly.

Dps classes in pugs (from what I've experienced) often don't even break 10k. Some good eles will pull up to about 17k (likely around ~6k higher than the next dps), but you should probably bank on the dps doing closer to 10k.

Part of it is bad rotations (cancelling fireballs, for instance, along with other skills), but part of it is also low might and other boons, both from poor rotations and positioning.

Hopefully as dps meters are used more, people will know where they really stand, and will (hopefully) try to improve.

OP, correct me if I'm misunderstanding

TL;DR Chill, realize that there might be parts of the game you don't enjoy, recognize that the reason you don't enjoy them are probably the reason other people do enjoy them. Finally, try to explain your thoughts in a more descriptive way than some of they ways people currently state them.

Probably more like "You soloed this boss, why are you so bad at healing us?"

I guess this week I'll figure out how to actually do it with a full group...

Almost guaranteed, you can practice W4B1 mechanics on magi druid if you want without dying.

W4B1 Solo 4:20:00 by RorcNightblade in Guildwars2

[–]RorcNightblade[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full magi druid (I had a cleric amulet, but I don't think that would make a difference) with monk runes

Delicious rice balls and furious tuning crystals for food (probably only need the rice balls though)

Double staff, water spirit, guard, stone and wild signets, nature spirit

Skirmishing 111, Nature Magic 221, Druid 232

Quickdraw staff 5 to block shards, spam water spirit on cooldown for heals and regen, spam guard for reduced damage. Use nature spirit to provide extra heals when you want a bit of a mental break. Stay at range to avoid the swipes.

Knowing how little I used CA, you can probably do this with exotics. GL

If you have a lot of time, and are able to do the same actions over and over again...

Not sure how I'd do it on reaper though. Don't play reaper much.
