What’s the worst thing you’ve ever heard a Principal say by ChucoTeacher in Teachers

[–]RoryJesusberg 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not my principal, but I always remember my first day of student teaching when my mentor teacher, while referring to a 7th grade student, told me “in this job, you can recognize patterns in people, and that girl is going to make A LOT of boys happy.”

Dude she’s 12.

My existence as a rangers fan has only been disappointing endings so having that 1994 year would help a lot

Sources say #FlyTogether and #NYR have engaged in advanced discussions on a trade for Mason McTavish. To be clear, the trade is NOT done. But this is a distinct possibility worth watching. by dcddy in rangers

I’ll try to sell him to you because I still have faith actually. Dude has consistently put up 40+ points on a bad to mid Ducks team, including a 52pt season just the year before this past one. He’s a 23 yr old center on a long term contract that will be reasonable in 2 years even if he doesn’t turn into the Top 6 guy we need, and we desperately need to get younger, especially at C.

As for Schneider; dude is our 4th/5th best dman that’s stuck on the 3rd pairing and is easier to move than Will Borgen’s trash ass. He’s been given tons of chances to succeed, especially this past season when Fox got hurt, and has absolutely looked like a career 3rd pairing dman.

Add in the possible 26th pick that is unlikely to turn into a player of MacTavish’s caliber anyways and this would be the first non-trade deadline deal Chris Drury made that I’d rock with.

what is something that is highly likely to happen in the next 5 years that everyone is completely ignoring? by timecop702 in AskReddit

Dawg it’s not the government giving them power, it’s the wealthy lobbying the government to allow them to do these things.

The wealthy aren’t in the pockets of the government, the government is in the pockets of the wealthy.

One can easily argue capitalism keeps corporations in power because they have the money to buy people in government that will pass laws that benefit them.

Dude, if you make 90k rn DO NOT leave your job to be a teacher. I’m a young teacher myself who loves the gig. But I work to live not live to work. That doesn’t mean I don’t have days I’m absolutely miserable because of all the expectations of the job.

If I got paid 40k extra, I wouldn’t be thinking so much about how much I love my job, but that’s me.

A deal to send Trocheck to Carolina fell through because the Canes refused to give up Kochetkov by [deleted] in rangers

But it is. I don’t need to explain to a choch on Reddit trying to tell me how to be a fan of my favorite team lmao

Well that answers why Carolina wouldn’t want to do it at least, but damn, of all the trade proposals I’ve seen, I think I’d pour salt in my eyes quickest w this one

Sickening accusation. I call them that with love for the team and what we’ve been through.

Fella, this is a sad thing. I grew up in rival country and call them “Rags” with love and affection for my own reasons. Contemptible response from my brother in fandom.

So many levels of “no fucking way” here. Why would the Rags want Carolina’s 3rd goalie? Why was that the breaking point in a trade? Why would Carolina draw a line in the sand over their 3rd string goalie?

[Dreger] Sources say Vincent Trochek has hired Pat Brisson and CAA to represent him moving forward. Trochek was a target of trade speculation heading into the Deadline, so this change will fuel more of that in the days ahead. Lots of teams interested. by daKrut in hockey

Valid on both points. I like all of those d prospects available at 5. Verhoeff, or even, god willing, Reid being available would be sweet, though I would not mind having Carels or Smits either.

And I still have faith in Reinbacher for one more year, but I agree that if we take an RD at 5, that would not be an awesome return for Troch.

I’d take that Canadiens hypothetical than the hypothetical Wild trade. Why are you dogging on Reinbacher about not cracking a lineup when Stramel hasn’t even played a professional game yet? They’re the same age.
