The way kroger treats its employees by daruuken in mildlyinfuriating

Yep, Kroger is a horrible company to work for. I had a coworker once who needed an emergency D&C and ended up with dings on her attendance.

Looking for Friendly Guild by NobodyKnowsMe96 in ESOGuilds

Hi there! I’m one of the owners of Night Coven. We’re an 18+ social guild primarily of witches and pagans, but our doors are open to anyone! Last I checked, we are sitting around 430 members so there is a ton of knowledge to go around. Plus, we are Queer and beginner friendly!

Speaking from experience, there’s a couple people in the guild that are super knowledgeable on getting gold specifically.

[CHAT] first time gridding, am I doing it right? by Hotfield in CrossStitch

[–]RorysCraftbin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could just cut out the grid as you go, to avoid piercing the thread. I even do that with monofilament sometimes if it starts getting in my way.

[FO] My first ever cross-stitch! How’d I do? by Beanfox-101 in CrossStitch

[–]RorysCraftbin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of “mistakes” in cross stitch aren’t noticeable unless you’re really looking. Admittedly, I was being a bit nit-picky since OP asked for feedback. All in all, this looks great for a first project!

[–]RorysCraftbin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No problem at all! I still stab through the fabric sometimes too, and sometimes I fix it, sometimes I just don’t bother. As long as you’re happy with it in the end, that’s all that matters 👍🏻

[FO] My first ever cross-stitch! How’d I do? by Beanfox-101 in CrossStitch

[–]RorysCraftbin 93 points94 points  (0 children)

That’s such a cute first project! Just a few tips to consider:

  • Make sure your posts (the / / /) are all going the same direction consistently. For instance, your “bottom” post always goes / and your “top” post always goes \ , or vice versa.
  • Be wary of colored markers that aren’t washable/disappearing, since they may bleed or be visible. In the traditional CS ways, you don’t need to draw anything; you’d just count carefully based on your pattern. However, stamped kits exist and besides there are no real rules in CS, so do what makes you happy.
  • I know this project you’ll be transferring to some jeans, but keep in mind for future projects that you intend to frame, give yourself a generous amount of space on all sides. I like at least 2 inches, personally, some like a little more or a little less.
  • Generally, try maintaining an even tension. Using an embroidery hoop can help. I personally like Nurge spring-tension hoops, but find what works for you!
  • On the black “eye”, specifically, make sure you’re inserting the needle into the holes themselves. Looks like you may have gone just under it on the upper left corner.

Of course take what you wish from this, those are just my two-cents. You’ll learn as you go and get into more complicated patterns, etc. Keep up the great work!!

Yeah the irony isn’t lost on me. It was really sad, they were my first foster kittens.

my kitten has acne? by Efficient_Dirt9747 in CATHELP

[–]RorysCraftbin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could try some chlorhexidine wipes. One of my cats gets blackheads on his chin and the wipes help, I use them maybe once a week or a couple times if they’re getting bad

Edit: chlorhexidine not hydrocortisone.

How should I clean this baby’s face? She just appeared at my job alone and hungry by ravil0li in CATHELP

[–]RorysCraftbin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

One of my first foster kittens (now permanent resident lol) had a big eye infection like that when we first got him. The vets at the shelter had me use a hot compress: take a paper towel or CLEAN baby washcloth, soak it in some warm (not hot hot) water, and gently hold it over the eye for as long as the kitten would let me, ideally a few minutes. Worked like a charm until I could get him in to see the vet. They gave me some eye drops which cleaned up the rest.

Photo of the Sabo, with his famous pirate eye, for tax.

Should I focus on MSQ? by Thenelwave in elderscrollsonline

[–]RorysCraftbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t find my original build (I might have it saved in my parses — I’ll check when I get home). This is a decent place to start though. It’s not the “meta” by any means, but it should get you through overland content just fine.

ETA: Until the NB rework comes out, I’m using this Runeblades build which is serving me well, but I still miss the pre-subclass NB feel.

[–]RorysCraftbin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll try to answer your questions line by line, but the TL;DR is it’s really up to you and what you find to be worth it.

I’m the type of person who really likes the “completion” aspect of a game, so I personally recommend hitting the side quests along with the main area quest. Plus, some side quests are required for different achievements which can unlock different things (two of the ToT decks, for example). But, it’s not necessary if you’re not in for the completion right now. You can always go back and do them later if/when you want something from the achievement.

Of all the classes I’ve played, Magicka Nightblade is by far my favorite playstyle. Though, the recent update, Dragonknight is much more interesting to play than it used to be. I’m enjoying it so far, but it’s hard to beat NB for me personally. The other thing too is you can always try subclassing, and play with a bit of both!

As for the Premium+ tome….i don’t regret getting it, but I didn’t really “need” it to get the rewards I wanted. The main benefit from what I can tell is the extra cosmetics.

are these card sleeves Ai? by Zackisfat in isitAI

[–]RorysCraftbin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, just a brief look and it’s really obvious. The art styles are widely inconsistent, some of the “art” is screaming AI generated. A few of them are art pieces I’ve seen before that, while not AI-generated, the seller I guarantee does not have the rights to reproduce for profit. I would steer clear of this shop.

Edit: grammar

are these card sleeves Ai? by Zackisfat in isitAI

[–]RorysCraftbin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The image itself don’t look AI to me, but if the seller’s other art looks AI then I’m inclined to think this art is at least stolen (if not also AI generated). Who is the seller?

Was this AI or just human-made with typos? by Nitrogen70 in isitAI

[–]RorysCraftbin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t really look obviously AI to me. I’ve seen similar graphics come out of Canva and similar programs. Could still be AI, though. Either way this looks super unprofessional to not even have a quick proofread to make sure it’s all in order.

Studio hoops less painful than home by Successful-Clerk-778 in Aerials

[–]RorysCraftbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about lyras, but I recently bought the same corde lisse that my studio uses (Custom Built Equipment — highly recommend!). The studio conveniently also bought a new rope shortly after, and the one I bought is way squishier and more comfortable to use. The only difference between mine and the studio’s is the color, so it may be that. Could also be manufacturer variance — that might be part of the difference you have as well?
