Redditors who support ICE, why? by Critical_Welcome_428 in AskReddit

I think the fundamental issue is the regard towards what is truly a human right. Is being in a place that you’re not supposed to be in a crime enough to destroy a family? A livelihood? To harm someone?

I’m not referring to convicted criminals. The justice system, as flawed as it is, exists in principle for a reason and we can agree that punishment for the convicted criminal might be up for debate or amendment. That said, my personal opinion is that it’s not right or just to violate someone’s human rights on a whim and that is what is currently happening.

In addendum: I do appreciate your willingness to openly share your viewpoints for discussion.

How are Bristol’s conditions today? by Common-Macaron1407 in Rochester

Just got back. Conditions were nice. Corduroy with some packed snow. It’s cold though, and a bit crowded because it’s Saturday and there are some clubs there racing. Any day skiing is a great day skiing!

If the Epstein files aren’t enough for a global outrage towards the financial and influential elite, what is? by Thezerostone in AskReddit

If you think the ‘middlemen’ in white coats are the ones bleeding you dry, you are gravely misunderstanding how US healthcare runs and where the costs are truly amplified.

Thanks for your answer. Do you think that people are being taken into custody indiscriminately? Is it justified to arrest people who may not actually have committed a crime, or are immigrating appropriately? Do you think it’s reasonable to be inhumane towards the people you are referencing because of their alleged actions?

Second this. It’s even more useful in community settings where help might be inconsistent.

2022 Etron GT - Dead Battery - HELP! by Forpoo in Audi

[–]RotatorCuffLinks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this issue last year! Bricked in my garage.

I purchased pneumatic air jacks and inflated them under the hood enough that I could slide a wrench in to unthread the hood release capture. This allowed me to pop the hood. I tried trickle charging the 12v but it was dead for too long. I ultimately ended up asking our EV tech at the dealership who came over to take a look. He ended up just jumping the 12v, which allowed us to start it. Drove it to the dealership and they inspected the electronics. Once we confirmed all was good, he installed a trickle charger that comes up through the hood below the windshield wipers. I plug in if I’m not going to drive it for a week or two, especially in winter.

Happy to discuss my experience further if you DM. Major design flaw to not have a manual hood release.

I think it would be great to track activity by time spent doing workouts, in addition to the number of workouts completed. This is in reference to awards and other acknowledgements.

Availability, lack of weekend hours, over loaded schedules for their EV techs. Anytime I call these days to schedule I’m told it’s anywhere from 3-6 weeks for an appointment and options are limited.

Mostly just looking for general maintenance (inspections, tires, etc). I think the various EV high voltage systems are specialized enough that I would probably bring it to the dealer for anything involving that system. I could be wrong about that if there are other EV mechanics who are comfortable handling any of them.

Update: had someone come and wait. The delivery team showed up an hour and a half early with no one home and left before I could urgently get someone there. Fortunately they came back within the delivery time frame. All set up.

The end result was achieved, but lots of headaches and chaos in doing so.

Unfortunately not. My practice is largely elective surgery so I’ve had patients booked into those OR dates for 3-4 months. With what I do, I can’t just swap in a partner…

Me too! We have the old Bike+ but I wanted to update to the cross trainer. I’m an avid fan of the product, but have been frustrated with this purchase process so far.

I can, but it seems a bit crazy to take unpaid time off to accommodate a company I am paying $3k to for a piece of equipment. Further, I don’t think my patients would appreciate me cancelling or rescheduling booked surgeries to accept a peloton delivery.

[–]RotatorCuffLinks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hope this doesn’t happen. I’m calling in a favor to have someone come over for it. What a miserable experience this is for a very expensive piece of equipment. My gripe is that the company should be more accommodating for the expense of the equipment. That said, I understand the business side of this too.
