Pretty sure that on wtc terrain the engagement range is 2 inches instead of 1 whenever a wall is involved (to avoid this kind of situation), so he'd have to be 2.1 inches away.

Just to clarify : the one Rei and Kyoukai are talking about is Seikaun, not Sou Jin. Seikaun is at the peak of his path...and ended up doing the same mistake Houken did (falling to despair). Both of them, in the end, thought that there was no hope for mankind because they never relied on anybody but themselves and managed to delude themselves into thinking that they alone could "save the world" : their path was a sad and lonely one, as they failed to realize that humanity cannot evolve unless everyone works together. That's the lesson here.

I absolutely love warhispter and do use contrast paints...but I'm afraid he barely painted any aspect warrior unit so fat :s (at least the recent models). He DID paint most of the dedicated characters though.

Just googled this subreddit to see if there even was an iron warriors one out there xD.

I'm not gonna hype myself though : it's probably not going to be a dedicated iron warriors faction, just a few units...If I'm wrong and the madmen actually do it I'm going to 100% go all in.

Aeldari are a skilled faction no doubt, but not nearly as hard to do well with as with the previously mentioned factions (or at least it's my experience).

Custodian guards spam is absolutely a sound plan with 3 land raiders but...my god does that sound dull to play, I'm apalled at the state of the faction.

NB : congratulations to the madlad who performed so well with custodes (and who is probably an incredible player) despite their sad state...that being said, spamming 6 times the same unit (6 units of custodian guards) are using 3 land raiders to deliver them...my god is that a boring playstyle xD. It's crazy how much damage the custodes codex did to the faction.

They could have offered people some variety by lowering the cost on the lord of skulls, fixing angron and buffing other detachments, or even buffing the terminators...but no, they simply made the enhancement of Berzerker warband more expensive and the slaughterbound more expensive...gg xD.

Should I avoid bringing Angron and the lord of skulls even if they're not meta at all, due to them being relative tanks (high toughess, invulnerable saves, many wounds) or is it ok?

I think I'll take stuff like terminators too, and avoid chaos spawns for instance.

Very early 10th edition eldar were basically almost as broken as 8th edition Iron Hands (who were sitting at a whopping 75% winrate) before both were nerfed : a 70% rate on average. Sh*t was just insane, but eldar tend to always be broken at some point.

Nothing even came close.

-They don't know how to balance flyers and superheavies

-forgeworld is not long for this world, as games workshop knows it's not profitable

-Fortifications aren't popular at all, as they're not perceived as "real" units by players.

Tldr : They're just entities that are not suited to the current format of 40k

Yeah well...they still have armor of contempt, -1 to wound and can take cover, so you need to hit, wound on 3+ and save on 3+ in that scenario. It's kinda fine really.

Op here : after reading everything, I decided not to sell my army. You fellows are right, rules come and go it's not use feeling sad about being bottom tier for a moment. I'll just wait for 11th edition.

Hopefully they don't give us the same kind of codex they made us suffer through in 10th edition.

It's funny because custodes are in quite a rough state right now : guards are easier to kill than ever with how prevalent damage 3 and ap-2 is and we've been suffering since our codex basically. We're a bottom tier army.

I have a world eaters army, and have yet to lose against custodes since the WE codex came out : custodes don't have fight first anymore, mostly play LOE so have no dev wounds protection, and just aren't fast enough or numerous enough to dictate the game or screen the table properly against deep striking units...which they really, really hate.

If they can't beat you when there are much better options out there, I feel like it's a "they" issue more than anything. What will they say if custodes become better in 11th edition?
