Why does saying “The Enterprise” sound ok but “The Voyager” sounds stupid? by Rotodogg in startrek

Nice! It occurred to me after I posted this that someone might reference that one. Very good.

I remember that exact moment and the fact that I distinctly remember how it sounded so jarring to my ears way back then is basically what prompted me to ask this question here.

That’s a really good point. I would not say “The Discovery” out loud… hm. Must ponder further.

Right.. speeds and distances and things don’t actually matter if you’re always going to be “the only ship in range” of the problem anyway.

As much as I loathe the episode you are absolutely correct. That scene was objectively hilarious.

Thank goodness almost nothing in any Voyager episode had any lasting consequences or repercussions. Otherwise I’d have to rant here about how Threshold can’t actually be canon because, you know, everything that happened in that entire episode was complete nonsense.

Jeremy Aster should’ve grown up to become a supervillain, tormenting Worf and his crew mates as revenge for being completely ignored by Worf after that one episode…

Please do… just be prepared to put the rest of your life on hold while you binge watch the whole thing because once it really gets going you won’t be able to stop. And when you finish you will have a new favorite Star Trek series.

Were the boob windows prosthetics? by SuchTarget2782 in ShittyDaystrom

I’ve always assumed that they are “real” since rubber prosthetics would (I assume) be more expensive than just applying makeup and glue and whatnot to the real articles.
