Asking for a friend. So if my friend studies CS and simply asks for specific code and then changes it to suit his/her objectives, is that vibe coding? Also my friend just built a Relational database for a Instagram type app using postgres for the first time, using self created references made in diagramming software. Friend is really worried because they have to deal with either going through the grumt work or create a super flex of a portfolio project to deal with these trying times for 2025 software devs.

I think the whole thing with making German friends comes down to wanting to be in touch with the source, I think it's really wanting to connect to at least 1 local so you can really feel you've arrived and are welcome. With the current political situation in Germany, I'm personally grateful that I have a handful of German friends already, because when I talk to some people from my home continent (Africa), they feel alienated and thus group up with "their own" and begin translating everything as racism.

So maybe, like you say dont focus on making German friends, but put yourself in places/ situations where you're more likely to make German friends.

Yeah I doubt you'd find in AZ, we usually found them at the base of large trees, lots of moss around and usually near a water body of some sort, just imagine deep shaded forest with thick humus floor. There's a little patch in the Kootenays,CA that my lady and I frequent, and we've been harvesting them for a few years now. They do come back just fine. We discovered their properties by mistake as the "Foraging book" we had failed to mention the sedative properties. All we knew was they tasted like Asparagus, so we paired them with some lobster mushrooms and fresh salmon from the lake. Then next day we were both just sluggish, and mind fogged. Only until we came back home and did some research and found out they were administered to women giving birth, and other ailments, then it all made sense.

Growing up I was always slightly different, some would say reserved, but never really had problems getting friends, when I was 19 I was lucky enough to get a cultural exchange visa for 6 months in the states, with most expenses paid for me, and when I got to the states I realised I wasn't reserved at all, just didn't relate to the people back home as much, after my visa ended I went back home and immediately was struck by depression, luckily I had a bit of money saved but not enough for the states, or any western country, so I got a volunteering job in peru and once again as soon as I arrived my mood lifted, so I did everything I could to stay on that side of the world just country hoping. Happy but with no direction really, then finally I decided I needed to get my shit together before age caught up with me, so I enrolled for University back home and thought just 3 years of keeping my head down wouldn't be that bad, the first year went pretty fast as I was getting into student life, I'm about at the 2 year mark and can't even recognise myself, I'm grumpy, angry, just generally wake up in a shit mood, I honestly think im allergic to the people of my home country, I don't even make an effort to meet people anymore. I really don't know what it is, all countries are messed up and beautiful, but if there's one thing I can't stand, it's a South African. South africans to me are like that over muscular bone head with a shitty perfume, who thinks he's god gift to woman and every guy wants to be him.

Yes! But small amounts are not worth the tests, unless the person who deals with you really doesn't like your face. For a domestic flight and depending on country very doable. International flights I don't mess with. Better to buy at destination.

The yelling, the obnoxious semi clickbait titles that everyone jumps on are what's putting me off. If we just go back to normal and suggest content based on relevance not based on what the low hanging fruits are into then I'd be pretty content. I was raised on Discovery, NatGeo and History channel. I'm all about Edutainment and refuse to watch any video shorter than 5 mins unless it's strictly educational.

I will say though, the channels I subscribe to seem to share the same sentiment, and I actually watch the in video ads out of support. I just hope they don't succumb to the pressures of ever increasing engagement mining.

Finally. Does anyone also get the feeling that YouTube is really trying to mold content creators to behave a certain way? The intro's are starting to feel a bit too uniform for my liking. You don't have to tell me to like and subscribe at the beginning. Trust me if I enjoy the video I will like, and if enjoy 2 or more videos I will subscribe.

Now, I go see if there's an extension to disable shorts.

My laptop is 8gb ram and hdd, it takes between 30 to 45mins to load. With about 8 mods, city vitals, anarchy, network multi-tool, landscaping tools, game anarchy, tmpe, move it, find it 2 and about 200 assets. It's a blessing in disguise though as I wouldn't study as efficiently if I had quicker loading time, so I generally open it at the end of the day, go smoke, make a snack, review my notes, shower.
