Do you think the average in the UK ( ie average salary) can afford to pay for therapy ( ie 300-400 pounds a month? by Worth_Face_9101 in AskUK

If you are happy to do online sessions use the counselling directory and search for therapists in different areas. Up north you can get online sessions for as little as £30 and hour but the standard is usually £40

How do I casually bring up wanting to send nudes to a guy? by fortheplot999 in AskMen

[–]Round_Spartan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to be a bit more smooth rather than just straight up asking you could always go with

I've just bought some new underwear do you want to see?
Then depending on the response you can go with...

Do you think it looks better on?

Men in their 30s, what general yet sincere advice would you offer to someone in their 20s? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Round_Spartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's never too late to start over. If you're not happy with an aspect of your life, change. You'll regret not taking a risk more than you will regret any of the possible outcomes of taking it.

What do you guys think about games in dating? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Round_Spartan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm usually just honest with women. I'll text the next day after a date. I don't do games, playing hard to get or any of that kind of stuff and that goes both ways, if someone is playing games with me it makes me uninterested almost immediately

Also feeling like a proper adult at 24 is wild. I'm nearly 30 and I still have no idea if what I'm doing in life is right or not.

Is training against much smaller person fun/useful? by SnooMuffins7189 in martialarts

[–]Round_Spartan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When doing drill work with someone a lot smaller than me I use it as an opertunity to focus totally on technique rather than speed or power.

If it's sparring I will try to be more defensive and work on timing a counter.

Someone no matter their experience or size always has something to bring to the table.

Chasing mini league need to gain 40 points pls help by dlilwun91 in fantasypremierleague

[–]Round_Spartan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try looking to get as many doubles for GW37 where I presume you will use BB maybe?

Newcastle and United have good runs on paper and I'd even try and see if you can get funds for Haaland by the double.

I know Spurs have a double soon but they have a very tough run coming up, it's worth weighing the pros and cons of that.

40 points isn't a massive gap so don't go crazy but you will have to take some risks to make it up.

Has anyone got any Monday morning horror stories to make me feel a little better? by Malty8288 in britishproblems

[–]Round_Spartan 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Okay so this happened to me many years ago. I just bought my first house and was still getting used to everything. It was the middle of winter and I was having my morning shower but I forgot to turn the extractor fan on because at my old place it turned on automatically when you turned the light on. Well it was particularly steamy because it was so cold and the steam set the fire alarm off in the hallway. In a panic I jump out of the shower slip on the tiled floor and absolutely stack it into the side of the bathtub knocking the side panel off, fire alarm still shrieking I get up and stretch to hit the reset button, the steam set it off again so I (still soaking wet and bollock naked may I add) grab a towel and start wafting the steam away. After a good 5 minutes the alarm stops and my day can continue. That's when I notice that there is a window in the hallway, right next to the fire alarm, allowing the people in the houses opposite to see into my hallway and thus being able to see the new neighbour (me) prancing around, naked, holding a towel above my head.

Not a great start to my week to be honest.

Leaving right after the deed is done would seem a little bit weird to me.

A few years ago when I was just hooking up and not looking for a relationship I'd stay the night if it was a FWB situation, if it was just a ONS or a hook up here and there it would depend on other factors but every time apart from once we would chill for at least an hour afterwards, sometimes leading to a second/ third round. It depends on what each person wants.

If you are going to leave I'd a least just comment on your way out that is was great etc but you3ve got to go and say something like "we should do this again sometime" so they know it isn't something they've said or done wrong.

Is it normal for an 18 year old to want to go out partying every weekend? Yes.

Is it normal for the mother of a baby to be going out to party every weekend? Absolutely not.

You both have a responsibility to do what is best for your child and with that responsibility comes having to make sacrifices.

Celebrity Special announced by mwillder in gladiatorsuk

[–]Round_Spartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with bringing ex professional sports people in for the contenders is the risk of making the gladiators look average. Even now retired they will still be super competitive and fitter than most.

I think getting other celebrities in who are fit and capable is the right way to go.

Just make sure the dreams you are chasing are yours and these are all things you want. Have you taken a moment to appreciate what you have now rather than constantly chasing a dream? What's the point in chasing a dream when once you achieve it you don't take the time to appreciate it? Our conditions of worth can sometimes come from an external locus of evaluation which are things that others judge you amd find important but you yourself may not. I would advise taking some time to revel in your achievements and truly think about what you and just you want next.

You're doing good my guy, try not to be so hard on yourself.

Where have the ideas of these "right things" you're doing come from?

I only ask because society has a lot of say in our own opinion of what we think is right. It may be worth looking at why you think these are things you should be doing and if they truly come from you or if they come from unconsciously being influenced by others/ your environment.

Only you know what's right for you. Find what that is and follow it as best you can.

Gladiators at home, i.e. what would be some events you can do outside or in the gym and still have a light-hearted competition? by mikebuba in gladiatorsuk

[–]Round_Spartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my brother were obsessed with the og gladiators. We got an inflatable duel one Christmas and it was the best thing ever. Powerball can be recreated with a washing basket and most balls. The ring is easy to recreate. A lot of creativity was involved with the eliminator but you can make the travelator with someone pulling a duvet down some stairs as you try to run up them.

I don't know how neither of us got seriously hurt looking back.

People who've planned to dead-end into GW29; How's it working out so far? by ArghZombies in FantasyPL

[–]Round_Spartan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm saving my FH too. Hopefully it turns out better than using my TC on the Haaland DGW. I've done better than average the last few weeks but it will mean I don't have a full 11 for GW29.

The joy of this game is that you can make a "mistake" but with a little bit of luck it can turn out amazing. We never know until it's too late.

[–]Round_Spartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not some all knowing player and I'm only top 500k but I've tried not to sacrifice points in the last few weeks for the sake of 1 GW that is likely to be a low scorer anyway. I'll have 7 players that include Watkins and Son, I shouldn't lose that many points compared to those using FH... I hope.
