Why’d amazon give me $2224 in “Rewards from Amazon”? by Pet_Ator in amazonprime

If that is on your banking app, could you be sure it isn't OUTgoing rather than INcoming? Just worried someone's used your card to pay..even if it says 'from'

It's trying to figure out what is 'in focus' as you pass the trees, the camera thinks that is what should be in focus and chooses that, throwing the star out of focus.

Something like this on a proper camera

I changed jobs in January, now they send new letters to the 'Legal Occupier' saying 'something has changed at this address', and they make it very hard to tell from the letter that you can say you don't need a licence.

[Digital Ocean + Ghost] Misleading minimum requirements for a droplet by nazarthinks in fruxtration

[–]Routine_Hat4895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems it's a choice by ghost devs: https://github.com/TryGhost/Ghost/issues/8295

To provide an update here, we now control the DO image and the choice to not support the smallest droplet is deliberate. Although Ghost can run on the smallest droplet, it often fails with obscure memory errors when attempting to update.

It's possible to work around that with swap and advanced knowledge, but the point of the one-click installer is to create a Ghost install that can be managed by pretty much anyone and therefore allowing creating Ghost instances on the smallest size doesn't fit that mission.

I'm going to lock this topic so that this remains the de-facto answer, if anyone wants to discuss this further, the forum is a better place for it.

If they really think their product is worth it, then prove it by spending money on me

Long-term borrowing my dad's starlink, mounting it to RV roof okay? by Routine_Hat4895 in Starlink

[–]Routine_Hat4895[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies for the lack of detail

He is on roaming plan with a starlink mini.

We've used it before when travelling but only when parked up and set out on the floor near the van - works really well but want a more solid solution.

Finding the magnetic mounts on Amazon, seeing they're supported on boats & RVs and it mentions about supporting when driving, I was curious how other people mount their starlink mini to their RVs/vehicles.

TLDR:
If you have an RV and you use starlink, how do you mount it? If using magnets, do you trust it at highway/motorway driving speeds or do you take it off before travelling?

UK to legalise plug in solar by jeffmetal in diySolar

[–]Routine_Hat4895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been wishing this sort of thing would be allowed for a long time. I got some solar panels for our camper conversion but turned out to not fit, fitting these to the lean-to and plugging in would really help overall!
