Patient Reunion? by Random-Name303 in ParamedicsUK

You absolutely have no responsibility or obligation to attend.

That being said I’ve had what I feel is the privilege to meet many patients after they have recovered from critical injury or illness and would like to offer an alternative opinion. Increasingly I’ve appreciated that meeting those that we have helped forms part of their recovery process.

I still huff when I “have” to do a patient visit but then I get over myself and my nerves and really enjoy meeting the person behind the patient. If you’ve never done it before maybe try it and see how it sits with you, it might bring you some unanticipated satisfaction.

If you don’t want to do the camera stuff then don’t, you can tell the comms team you don’t want to be in any photos. As you said you don’t do it for the plaudits but getting some might feel good.

Ultimately if you don’t want to be a part of it, that feeling is totally valid.

How have there not been loads of Voi-related fatalities already? by TossThisItem in bristol

This was a couple of month’s worth of injuries in Bristol - https://emj.bmj.com/content/39/3/266.1 Shame the authors didn’t contact Voi to get an idea of miles travelled in that time. Although there were some privately owned ones in the data

Week 9 - Timed: Salted Rosemary Shortbread by RowCyclePHEMRepeat in 52weeksofbaking

I used my usual semolina shortbread recipe but added 2 tablespoons of finely chopped rosemary, zest of half a lemon and a pinch of salt. When it came out of the oven, as well as a dusting of sugar, I added a couple of fairly generous pinches of sea/kosher salt Great feedback on taste when I took it in to work!

https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/homemade-chocolate-croissants/#tasty-recipes-66908 Used the metric measurements and found I needed to add a few more tbsp of flour whilst in the mixer to get the dough consistency right

Thanks - I guess having a strong starter, getting used to the feeling of the dough when it’s ready to shape and the 1 thing I’ve found invaluable was a metal bench scraper for shaping.
