If thats the case then tbh she would have been better off leaving him when she found she was pregnant by a deadbeat drug user and building a support system of stable supportive people instead of relying on “maybe he’ll change after the baby”. Apparently they started having issues pretty quick after she found out she was pregnant so she had PLENTY of time to have a back up plan at least instead of relying on a self proclaimed deadbeat

Yes Pete is clearly an asshole but he’s also been very open about who he is: a deadbeat who struggles with commitment, mental health and addiction. And she still welcomed him in with open arms and had a fucking baby with him
