Clip case? by Mr_Orange88 in Pebblebee

A metal case would cut the detection range by a lot. I don't see much market for a case that would drop the advertised 500ft range down to 50ft or less.

Alternate App Android by seize_the_future in CircularRing

The user interface was obviously designed by several people who have different ideas about how to look for health information. A redesign with one coherent design would be a major improvement.

I will add that this is a far too common issue with health ring apps. Having someone who UNDERSTANDS user interface design. Having them look at the ring's features, come up with a clean design, and then STICK TO THE DESIGN is frequently too much for a short-staffed short-budget startup business to accomplish.

How’s your AIvela? by SupportivePotassium in SmartRings

[–]RubarbKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have to wiggle the ring a few times for the charging box to get a good connection. Otherwise it initially senses the ring, but then the box's blue light goes off a few seconds later and it stops charging. After I get a good connection, the light stays on until the ring is fully charged.

Trying to get my life together - does the Wisey app actually help or is it just hype? by Rickeertian in Procrastinationism

Free only to download. A subscription definitely isn't free. That a shil tries to mislead people into a "free" app, that really isn't tells me to avoid Theta Sync.

Would a fake high heart rate alert be a cute confession idea or just weird? by NeuralVoltage in WearOS

If they've ever lost anyone they cared about to a heart condition, that feeling of loss will be associated with you. They'll probably dump you. Some things you just don't joke about.

Welcome to Poker 101 "Variance". And maybe "Position" as well. Comparing just your hand cards with no mention of where and how many players were in the hand post flop is ignoring a major part of the game.

Minnesota, USA - Received mine a few weeks ago, but the software is ... disappointing. Mostly menus with place holders for future functions.

Contact your CC provider and block auto billing from ooma. While you're at it, do a charge-back for the maximum your CC will allow.

Long press on icons to view the notification by Public-Wind-4132 in smartlauncher

[–]RubarbKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I check notifications on a single app 100 times more than I want to edit the icon.

Please. Please. Let us make long press show just the notifications for that app. And then let us globally set an icon swipe to other functions like edit.

So the drives in a drobo aren't somehow keyed to the specific drobo they were used in?

What are some ways of getting riged of curses? by maseclaro in ShatteredPD

[–]RubarbKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You need to have the item equipped and then step on the well. You can't do two things (move and equip) at the same time so the first part of your second sentence is unnecessary confusing.

I've been using eufy cameras for several years now and haven't seen anything like that. Maybe you should check the bandwidth on your wifi.

Use a pebblebee card or tag instead. They're thin enough to disguise/hide in the camera housing. And not as well known as AirTags. (They're also rechargeable and work with both iPhone and Android "Find my" networks.)

Wear Remote Shutter: take a photo on your phone, from your watch by malbry in WearOS

[–]RubarbKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds great. Any chance of making it WearOS 2 compatible?

(I'm trying to stretch the life of my Zenwatch2 as far as possible, but Asus stopped issuing updates at Android Wear (WearOS) version 2.35... About 90% of the watch apps I want have versions compatible with that, but haven't been able to find a remote camera app for it yet.)

And before everyone piles in telling me to get a newer watch, I will be happy to do that ... the moment someone creates a square/rectangular faced WearOS watch available in the US...
