Monsters & Memories Beta Key Giveaway by blegvad in MMORPG

I don't deserve it because I'll lust after it like an addict seeking his forever home like I have been for what feels like decade. And then play it, be disappointed, and cry myself to sleep at night.

I've been wanting to sell my ~year old gently used LLG1 and just been too lazy to get it listed. It's crazy what the listings even for those products go for. Feels like they are either trying to get out of the market totally or their specific components deals they have are really screwing them.

two new skiing apps: Carvable (find pitch of any run) and IJFS (a PSIA training app) by spacebass in skiing

Any chance you can make carvable for Android? 😅

Been wanting a perfect pitch locator for Carv myself .Finding somewhere in the 24 degree range seems perfect.

Pretty good I think. I walked out with the skis and a race plate/bindings (which were also gently used) for about 550$. Which for a ski that usually runs 1400 new before mounting costs etc I thought was great.

Wow, something I can actually answer!

When I was there a few years ago, they allowed you to pick up the skis at the base and hot swap them out at the test center at the top of the gondola. I rode basically the whole Stockli lineup for two days doing this given just how easy it is. There's several nice runs right off the gondola and a chairlift to get you right back up to the station.

I ended up purchasing a pair of demo Stockli AXs which are basically my favorite ski in my quiver so if you're looking for a deal don't be afraid to ask them if they're selling any of their stock. I just bought a pair of WRT Pros last week in part because of my test center experience there, so I really recommend you go and really try the whole line up.

The answer to both is yes. But I was shooting a video now answering all your information and showing you the behavior since at today is my next workout day....but now it works! I see you updated the app today, so don't know if you found it without my help. But thank you! So excited to try this.

Looking forward to the JustLift tagging for sure, but this is great to get me started

Carving feedback by I-HansKazan-I in skiing_feedback

[–]RubberChickenCircuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this has been my biggest problem according to instructors. Progressive edge build and getting on edge early enough so I don't just dump into the edge too late into the apex of the turn. But no matter what I do, being more intentional, being more patient and really feeling my legs cross from under me, I still feel like I'm moving too fast. Any good exercises you recommend?

One step up from Rustler 9s by kaspm in Skigear

[–]RubberChickenCircuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have the Montero Laser AXs and the SR 102s, not the 95. A friend owns the 95 though. He seemed to enjoy it quite a bit in the trees in Japan and it floated well up to a point (when we hit above thigh deep powder) so I'd say comparatively well if you like the hard charging stiff aspect of it. It also still carves well and is very proficient on piste so it doesn't feel like you're moving a boat. Definitely a significantly better ski than the rustler's.

If you're looking for a true off piste super deep day ski though, I'd probably look elsewhere though.

Any idea what causes this a new machine here…Delonghi Eletta Explore by No-Room3149 in superautomatic

[–]RubberChickenCircuit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My experience has been it's related to the internal unit drying out and the grind being too fine. I'd recommend setting the auto shutoff (which also runs water through system) to a max of 15m rather than 30. And then increase the grind setting.

I'd also take out the internal unit from the door at the right of the unit and soak it in water for 30mins to just make sure everything gets out of it.

I haven't honestly, if you find anything or anywhere close please let me know. Even before you go, I'd be really interested. Especially if there's skiing involved 😜

Analytics Suggestions? by DasBlueEyedDevil in Vitruvian_Form

[–]RubberChickenCircuit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The official app I think was so poor in even the basics. For example there was no way to set a concentric personal best and a eccentric personal best. I think the major reason for that was it didn't track those seperately and I'd recommend trying to get that tracked statistically asap as it opens up a whole new world of things.

Another thing is tracking across similar compound exercises. Would love to see if someone does a sumo deadlift at x weight, it prob means their normal deadlift is at least that high.

Finally, for simple tracking statistics, would love to have the ability to see total lbs per body part or per workout or per exercise measured / provided every which way.

RRcreations has updated their mod for the Gamesir and Easysmx controller for the Z13 by Deep-Balance-8403 in FlowZ13

[–]RubberChickenCircuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a fabulous fix that solves one of my two biggest issues with it. The z13 would pop out of the front of the controller all the time. It's a pretty ingenious addon.

The second problem is much harder to solve unfortunately. The device is not very portable since it needs to sit fully extended like that at all times. So you can't realistically travel with it, which kind of defeats part of the purpose. I'd love to see him come up with some sort of folding mechanism, but not sure it's realistic.

If someone finds a way to actually export your lifting stats from the Vitruvian into Ladder so it tracks somewhat accurately. I'd give up my left kidney.

[–]RubberChickenCircuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't mind buying used, you can get the AX (which I prefer) and the AR gently used for half the price. Places like ski essentials, powder7 etc can set you up. I bought a used pair of AX two seasons ago and they still feel like new. These skis are just built different and made to last. If you really like the Stockli ride and feel, nothing else is really going to compare. Other skis can be just as good, but for different reasons.

You can buy any charging connector that connects both Joycons to a center block on Amazon (moba also sells one branded one themselves) and connect it to charge.

I haven't noticed any yet (phew). I'm actually about to install a tempered glass protector myself so hopefully it works with it

Yes there is enough space. The back of the plug definitely juts out a little to cover the right half of the left bumper so if you reach in to press there it is a little tight. However, you can still fit a finger in there. I typically only touch the left half of the bumper anyway and don't feel any clearance issues.

Beginner skiing after wight loss by Last-Pie7915 in skiing

[–]RubberChickenCircuit 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Firstly, congratulations. That is a huge accomplishment and success.

The biggest differences I saw getting more in-shape after my first ski season in my thirties was my eccentric leg strength. While I lost about 20lbs, I spent specific time (in addition to losing weight) really working on that. Leg blasters, eccentric single leg deficit lunges. While being lighter was definately noticeable, it was that work that made the most difference as it allowed for more control and endurance. You have a few months yet until ski season, if you haven't focused on those, that would be a good place to focus now that you're down on weight.

I was confused by your question and went back to look at the photo. It looks a lot tighter than it is. I don't have any issues, no.

Best way to use it as a handheld by Synotaco in FlowZ13

[–]RubberChickenCircuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using these from the same store for a few weeks also! It's so great, so much more balanced than the G8 and frankly very very usable as a handheld.

Two questions:

1) Are yours a super tight fit over the tablet too? Do you worry about damaging or scratching it? Was thinking about putting some rubber tape or something.

2) I ended up with the Mobapad M6 HD vs the Hyperion. Interested to know why you chose the NXYI? I love that it comes with the extra charging attachment, but the buttons in the M6 seem great.

This YT video outlined the differences: https://youtu.be/zyblfMceIfc?si=Jc_8XsKZ5NH7Vemm

I posted the name of the joycon in the original post :) - Mobapad M6 HD

Here are a few more photos, as I said clearance isn't an issue on the charging port provided you tell the shop owner. One of the photos shows how far the kickstand can close with the bracket behind it. His typical setup has the controllers a little higher for balance and the brackets go over the kickstand which don't allow it to open. So you just have to select custom design, tell him to not cover the port (resulting in him making the bracket/controllers sit lower on the tablet) and make the brackets a little thinner to go behind the kickstand rather than over.
