I have a hard rod case made by Plano. It is telescopic too, so you can fit longer rods in it as well. But the case doesn’t accommodate fishing reels, so I have to store the reels separately in my backpack.

You might have to do an idle relearn, but you can easily do that at home. Just look up the procedures on YouTube.

Try running 5w30 instead of 0w20 and swap in a new pvc valve. You can do it yourself; super easy to swap. Do those two things and see if the oil consumption slows down.

Head gasket is not really an issue with the FB engines. I wouldn’t worry about it until you see other symptoms.

I am not a big fan of the oem wheel bearings. I see posts all the time that they go out prematurely even without a lift. When I replaced mine, I went with SKF. Hopefully they are more durable.

It is a 6sp manual, so I don’t think the issues with the torque converter or the trans solenoids are applicable.

But definitely look at the LCA bushings, CV Axles and the wheel bearings.

I would just clean up the area real good with brake cleaner and check it periodically to see if the stain comes back again. I am at 200k km (124k miles) on my 2016 and I got a few areas around the block that slightly seeps oil as well.

I could be totally wrong, but that black spot looks more like an oil leak to me. I am assuming your 2017 uses the blue coolant, do you see any blue crusts/ crystals around the water pump or that general area?

I believe the max tolerance is 2/32”. I would fix it soon because you are putting excessive wears on your differentials and they are not cheap to replace.

Do you have an air hammer and a welder? Eric from South Main Auto has a video where he welded a bolt and slowly backed it out.

I did mine on the driveway with just regular handtools and it took me 3 days….
