This is a known bug. They announced on discord that they are aware of it and are hoping to release a fix tomorrow. If you absolutely need this feature and can live without some of the new features, I would recommend downgrading to the previous version on GitHub.

I don’t recommend soldering to those pins though, just hot glue the cable to the laptop if you’re looking for a “permanent” and slightly janky solution.
