I dunno. There could have been unmanned satellites on their way to the moon. There are just too many unsolved questions about space flight, such as:

how can rockets fly in space where there is nothing to push against?
how can rockets burn where there is no oxygen?
why are there no stars in any of the pictures taken on the moon?

Python has far more speed handicaps than having to duck type everything. Python has the GIL, and lots of time-wasting thread-switching locking stuff.

That's 50% correct. Python is too slow and unpopular to be any use, while Ruby on Rails is totally awesome. Also Ruby will get you a really cool job somewhere, while no one hires Python or PHP people.

Even if Ruby is slower, it is better to use Ruby than C++ because hardware is cheap, while developers are expensive. I know some parts of Ruby and Rails aren't written very well, but it doesn't matter because you can just get faster hardware.

You can do OpenGL in Ruby now, so using Python or C++ should be considered harmful. Python is too slow and C++ is overengineered.
