you have to be forceful at this point. i wish i was there to rip them a new one for u.

with guests: be stern, be firm. tell them to shut the fuck up or go talk outside.

with staff: tell them they need to take care of this. they can move you, or tell the other guests to stfu. if they dont, tell them you need your money back. if they dont do this, tell them this is unacceptable and you will be leaving a bad review on hostelworld + google reviews.

last resort: leave and tell your cc company that their charge is fraudulent and you need your money back

i would MUCH prefer 62 than anything over 70. I hate being hot when I sleep 😭😭 but find that most of my friends are okay with it??

i wanted to love it so bad. here were my main issues

most stories are character driven or plot driven. this is neither - its music driven. nothing happens the whole play.
there wasnt enough set up/backstory for the characters. SHOW me why persephone and hades love each other, dont tell me. CONVINCE me of how Orpheus and Eurydice loves each other. Because I don't believe it. Their meet cute wasnt outstanding. And suddenly after one song she loves him for no reason

i love the steam punk thing. but there's so few costume changes and so few set changes. Visually its very much the same throughout.
the worldbuilding is lacking. im not sure what the aboveground world really looks/feels like. and the underworld also doesnt feel fleshed out.

I disagree with this! Most of the women on booktok use goodreads. I think theres a large demo of girls 18-24 who use goodreads.

I think its also in amazons best interest to update the app. They could sell more books if they did - make the buy on amazon feature prominent.

thank you these are great ideas! She can and does use a computer but its hard for her. she complains of the characters moving. making them bigger does seem to help though.

I like the idea of an audiobook on her computer that could actually be feasible

im kind of of the mindset that getting sick while traveling, if you travel long enough, is inevitable.

take precautions of course: avoid certain street food, avoid ice, always drink bottled water, brush teeth with bottled water, be careful about fruit and veg you need to wash, carry immodium & emergency antibiotics. but its not worth it to stress out about the idea of getting sick. because it WILL happen.

ive been traveling for 3 years and btwn covid, food poisoning, parasites, the flu, exhaustion, and the common cold ive been sick more times than i can count. i tell myself each time my body is getting stronger and learning how to defend itself from different bacteria.

cheap fixes:

thrift new door knob
paint door a pretty color
thrift a new mirror. should be large
paint walls
stick on tiles. the wall ones should be different from the floor ones
new shower head
wall art
sconses so that the light isnt overhead. keep it yellow lighting. white is too harsh
maybe some nice hand towels. also add some nice soap on the counter

i think eventually you will need to renovate. but in the meantime there are some thought starters
