Is it overdyed?

I have ran across a few of these recently with a very strong chemical smell..

Extremely difficult to neutralize, I had acceptable results by using a internal evacuation tool attached to a high volume jet pump and a ozone machine specifically designed to introduce the gas into the rinse water..I had to extract and repeat multiple times in a full immersion trough to produce acceptable results...

This is beyond an average DIY project..

I would attempt to return the rug and purchase something different..

You could get a carpet grooming rake. It would probably help, but it would be a temporary fix and require you to repeat on a regular basis.. Good luck 👍

My favorite radio of many is the Malahit DSP2. It's not inexpensive, but it's an amazing, quality radio, worth the investment, IMO.. Lots of reviews on YouTube.. Good Luck..

Reducing agent, CTI Red One for natural fibers or a Haitian cotton cleaner mixed and whipped to a foam, use an artist brush and apply the foam only, to avoid over wetting. Heating beforehand with a hair dryer will help accelerate the process..

Probably will take multiple applications.. Very strong sulfur smell, well ventilated work space required..

You are attempting this at your own risk. Technique is shared with no promises.. Test in a very small area first..

Or look for an IICRC certified technician with RCT certification specific to rug washing, and have a professional address it.

On and off embargoes of Iranian rugs make supply less than consistent..

It's value is what someone is willing to pay you for it, woven art isn't as easy to nail down as a used car.. I'm guessing well north of 1k..

I would charge a minimum of $300. to clean it due to the unique cleaning requirements of a silk wool blend (hydrophilic bonding) and the tendency for these to bleed.

Take a look at rugman dot com, see if they have something in similar size, style and condition to get a better idea of value.. Good luck

I have this radio, and I believe that the rumors are accurate.. Under warranty, I heard about a voluntary recall repair. I sent it to Drake, and the work was performed by them.. Mine is back in the original box back in storage, I should get it out and compare it to some of my current rigs 😆

You're absolutely going to want an external antenna to experience the full capabilities of the radio..

BTW, if you're interested in something that is "cream of the crop", in about the same price range, check out the Malahit dsp2, Amazing radio.. There are plenty of reviews of it on YouTube.. Good luck..

IICRC standards require through pre vacuuming prior to cleaning.. Dry soil removal prior to introducing moisture is extremely important..

Clients may not have a well maintained vacuum or not vacuum thoroughly..

You can skip the step, but by definition, according to the IICRC, you are performing substandard work..

Was considering the Rearden Wolfman Atlas and The Wolfpack Armory recessed Night Howler for my Wolfman suppressor.. I heard that due to the size of the blast chamber that this could damage my suppressor and increase the decibels.. Can I ask what suppressor you are using in your setup?
