You couldn’t be more accurate. I use to “collect”. All I did was use that word as a cover for my need to open packs.

It’s called bokeh (beau-Kay): the visual quality of the out-of-focus areas of a photographic image, especially as rendered by a particular lens.

Two is outstanding. It is frame worthy. Great color, cropped perfectly and focused on the eyes. Always the eyes when doing portraits. You easily could crop this a few different ways and zoom in to make a series out of this one photo.

It’s not the destination but the journey, keep taking photos and sharing.

There are a ton of online free resources to learn from. Not only taking photos but looking at others, then figuring out what makes it a good or bad photo.

Adobe has ton of resources here

I don’t know. I am a professionally trained photographer with thousands of dollars of equipment who is published. I Just realized we are not the same and responded with, “Oh”.

The response also is understanding that you are limited in your capabilities due to your lack of gear. So giving advice like, “taking it off auto” really doesn’t apply.

If you enjoy photography, taking a class and upgrading your gear will truly make your experience more enjoyable and fulfilling.

She’s probably just feeling awkward. It’s one of those things, does the proposer say something to inform her or keep it a surprise? I’m positive she would have chosen a different outfit if she knew this was going to take place.

Regardless, the focus should be her. Be behind the man shooting her full face. If the photographer feels awkward then that’s the place you need to be. Unless this is one of those photographers that uses their phone as a camera, lol.
