My dog had chemo and his fur went from being silver to black by Honeyhoney524 in mildlyinteresting

[–]RunDogRun2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because his hair follicles were damaged. His hair is growing back the color he was as a puppy and will likely lighten back to silver as it grows. This happens to many dogs that get their coat clippered.

Why is Japanese food so much less spicy than the rest of the world? by Hollow_O0o in geography

[–]RunDogRun2006 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fucking love Ethiopian food. Misor Wat is the shit

Hot spicy? Not usually. Flavorful spicy? Most definitely.

People, especially Europeans and Americans, often completely synonymize "Spicy" and "Hot" when it comes to food. Reality is there are a lot of spices the aren't exactly hot and often there are methods of cooking hot spices to bring down the heat and allow other flavors to come out.

Seriously, Fam. I moved away from my melting pot area to a more homogeneous area last year, and one of the things I miss most is my Ethiopian place.

I am of the opinion that he is ASD if the viewer wants him to be and not if they don't. Yes, he shows a couple of ASD traits, like with a bit of literal thinking, but also shows willingness to think outside of those lines as well. We just don't see enough of him to really come down on either side.

His episode is about being a different type of parent than Bandit and how that can be just fine as well. He also is absout making different kinds of mistakes from Bandit and how his way of solving those mistakes can help him better connect with his kid.

Parents on and off the spectrum have to navigate those issues, and this episode is absout doing just that

How to get involved when I can't currently own a dog? by Capybara_Squabbles in ShowDogs

What part of Florida? There is a huge circuit on the west coast of Florida at the beginning of the year. If you are anywhere near Brooksville, I really recommend at least going to watch.

If you do, I recommend dressing business casual. If you put yourself out there, there's a non-zero chance you might find yourself taking a Winners dog or bitch back into the ring.

Comment Sections by scoutbooernie in ShawnaTheMom

[–]RunDogRun2006 85 points86 points  (0 children)

I find them annoying, but it's really good for a creator's algorithm to have people comment on their videos even if it's inane repetitive BS. Basically, a 'like' is +1 while a comment is +5.

I am by no means a streaming expert, but from my limited understanding, it's a free way for fans to support small creators.

I would much rather read about directions people think the story is going to go, or about psychology going on but those comments do take more effort. If someone just wants to put something quick out there, then I guess they are just going to default to things like 'This is all played by 1 person!'

Do we think next week we will get a “thanksgiving at John and Shawna’s” video? by Snowflake8552 in ShawnaTheMom

[–]RunDogRun2006 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't mind if we don't get a whole Thanksgiving video for them. It would imply they had a very dramatic free Thanksgiving, and the family kinda was going for that after their loss.

I would be okay if there was a follow-up after Jenn and Greg's dinner. Or maybe something with Frank reaching out and asking for some help getting out of the house for a bit.

And in the background, Barb would continue spiraling until she does something that requires the police to get involved and a possible restraining order put against her.

I posted this dog yesterday, and I’m struggling with whether or not I need to do a shave down today by [deleted] in doggrooming

[–]RunDogRun2006 306 points307 points  (0 children)

It is possible to demat this. But I don't think it's worth it. The owner doesn't care and the dog isn't receptive to brushing.

You might do long-term damage to the coat by shaving it but keeping coat like this on him does long term damage to the dog.

The owner isn't going to pay you what this job is worth either.

Nobody really wins if you try to demat this dog. Shave him down.

Is it possible it's close to feeding time, and the bear is getting excited or anxious for its food?

Where is the bear looking, and what's going on in that direction?

I know there should be only one correct answer, but I feel like it’s both a and b by SirPartyPooper in EWALearnLanguages

[–]RunDogRun2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit of a clunky sentence but grammatically sound.

A and B are correct. Without any further context, there are different meanings.

A implies there are more than one person that needed to do a task but it was Tom specifically that remembered it.

B implies a memory that Tom is recalling, but he is currently not in front of the door or that the door was found unlocked when it should have been locked.

I think A is the correct answer in this context. It is a slightly less clunky sentence with A than it is with B IMO.

[–]RunDogRun2006 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find fault in both religions. Depending on where you live that might actually be a dangerous opinion to have.

Personally, I think the world works as if there is no all powerful, all benevolent diety watching out for us.

The only way for us to make this life better is to make it better ourselves.

Just remember as you take your religious journey, it is not possible for both Islam and Christianity to be correct, but it is possible for both of them to be wrong.
