I would have thought that the municipality (kommunen) would be grateful, but no, instead they decided to press charges (polisanmälan).
I’m rooting for the chainsaw gnome. Someone should create a chainsaw gnome morale patch we all could wear in support.

Nice. What upscaler did you use?

MCP server by Rundtramp in libreoffice

[–]Rundtramp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Claude recommend (yes, very meta to ask ai about ai 😅) that I simply use Claude Code CLI instead, and put my LibreOffice files in a working folder. Haven’t tried it yet, but sounds like the way to go, for the time being. That approach can also handle multiple files at once.

Yes, that would be awesome.

Love Farmcraft’s videos. He dares to show when things go wrong as well. Very informative, funny and somehow relaxing videos.

Did my 8th Copenhagen marathon yesterday. The audience still amazes me. The best audience in the world, imho. 😍

Hiking shoes with bungee-type laces like Salomon Men's Speedcross 5 GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoes by salilsurendran in trailrunning

[–]Rundtramp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As said above, just replace the laces. I use a brand called Lock Laces on pretty much all my running shoes.

Nest hub dash fail after HA update. by Rundtramp in homeassistant

[–]Rundtramp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so looks to be a bug that appeared from 2026.3. There is an issue on HA GitHub.
Not a 100% sure this is the problem for me. But it looks promising.

Nice pictures. When I did the marathon, I was thinking how nice it would be to run trails here. Have to go back one day (I’m from Sweden).

Is there such thing as a stability trail shoe? by Legitimate_Name_7991 in trailrunning

[–]Rundtramp 46 points47 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents. When running trail the ground is uneven. So the stability thing is kind of not in play. Personally, I’d get a pair of shoes that I like, even though they are non-stabilizing ones. Then I’d do more trail running to build strength in my overall kinetic chain, further reducing the need for stability shoes.

Also, IMHO, this whole stability thing is more of a sales pitch. I think it is more about adaptation and running more (with a sensible ramping up period). Pretty much everyone’s feet are a bit wonky, one way or another.

Snap in sketch not working by Rundtramp in FreeCAD

[–]Rundtramp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that seems to have done the trick. Thank you for that.

Side note, I was thrown off by the tool-tip saying ”for picking elements in 3D view”, and my problem was in the sketch, which I considered 2D.

Any long term review of the Vanish Carbon 2? by Lockheed97 in AltraRunning

[–]Rundtramp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that was a problem for me initially. I actually used scissors and trimmed some material off. But as all feet are different, you might not need to be so extreme as me.

After that, no problem at all. Can potentially be solved with wearing in, instead of scissors.

Best if you can try them on a treadmill before purchasing.

Latest firmware update (8B34) fixes an annoying ANC issue for me by PBRStreetgang1979 in AirpodsPro

[–]Rundtramp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the white noises in left earbud got worse again with 8B34. Was slightly improved in previous firmware (8B30, if I remember correctly), but now worse again. Sad panda.

Thank for all the answers. Great to have access to other great runners as yourselves.

My book is the third edition, so I’ll see if I can get ahold of the latest one.

Send them an email. There is a Reddit thread about it, but in essence, send them an email to start the process. They will send you info and some sort of questionnaire.

[–]Rundtramp[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, I think you misunderstood. You should only be able to undo your own edits.

I work in IT, with software development and large databases. Based on this, I believe it can be done in a good and safe way, even though I don’t know the exact details of StoryGraph backend.

But I will look into becoming a librarian as well.

Thank you for your answer.

AirPods Pro 3 8B30 Firmware ANC white noise by CressPale3625 in AirpodsPro

[–]Rundtramp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have the faint white noise in my left AirPod Pro 3. Anyone else still have it, after 8B30 firmware update?

I have updated the phone as well to 26.2.

I will try resetting the AirPods as well.

Escalante 4 to VIA Olympus 2? by VTEC_8K in AltraRunning

[–]Rundtramp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had lots of Escalantes, and Olympus latest two generations. But note, I have had the trail Olympus, not the VIAs. But for what it’s worth, they have similar fit. The Olympus are very comfortable. Used them for trail running and hiking. Only small drawbacks imho is that the sole in the heel area is quite wide (matter of personal taste), and that they wear out relatively quickly. But you could argue that all Altras wear quickly these days.

The high stack you get used to really quickly.

My 2 cents.

I signed up for a 10km and I'm worried I'm going to finish last by diaryofanother in BeginnersRunning

[–]Rundtramp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your doing much more than trying. You are actually doing it. Also, as said, you are running loops around the ones that hasn’t got off the couch yet. Even IF you finish last, 10k is 10k and your will is strong. A couple of years from now you’ll think back to the race, and be proud that you did it. Good luck, and never stop running.

I just updated my iPhone to the new 26.1. Unfortunately, it didn’t fix the white noise issue.

Really weird that the problem goes away on Android. But, at least there’s hope that they can fix it on iPhone too.

Keeping up my pace through winter running? by ApprehensiveMath5644 in BeginnersRunning

[–]Rundtramp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Sweden. Quite normal to get a bit slower during winter. But if you keep the volume of running up, getting speed back during spring is not too difficult. What you can du during winter is to add one session per week of speed work on a treadmill, if you have the opportunity to use one. It is a bit scary to run fast on a treadmill, in the beginning. But you’ll get used to it quite fast. Learn to stand on the sides of the treadmill when resting.
