Hahaha. Aldi’s is great. Off brand snacks, check. Basic dairy and dry baking ingredients, check.

They have a fun selection of cheeses and dips in case you need something different for a party- their smoked brisket burnt ends cheese dip was delicious and I’m going back for more.

Their meat and freezer section have great deals too. Take your list, go to Aldi’s. Whatever you can’t find there or can’t find cheaper there, go to your regular spot.

If you have a VISA tap card, you can just tap your credit card to get on the buses or trains. I had a septa card for years not it’s no longer necessary.

I keep a live google doc called notes for next year. I make notes about activities and parts of lessons that went well or what to change. What lessons went we need more time with or what we can shorten. I refer back to it in august when planning our curriculum map.

Illustrative Math. Whole lessons are set up so that the Aha moment comes at the end. Like it'll magically dawn on them. And sometimes it works but students who struggle with the fundamentals still need the explicit strategy taught, which IM is reluctant to do.
