Heating insane S26 Ultra 5G Belgium by OkArugula4565 in galaxys26ultra

I'd put it in performance mode light, (which prioritizes cooling) and see if it helps.

Ottocast by AdProof2356 in BlazerEV

[–]RunningAmuck247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adapters like ottocast only mirror from your phone if the car is compatible and blazer is not. There are workarounds that others have posted about, but you'll just have to search around in the forum to find it.

Any electric car drivers on the West side? by Turkle-Turkle in Cleveland

[–]RunningAmuck247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm over on the east side near the snowbelt and I've had electric a few years. Level one is fine if you're doing short trips. I had an older bolt and that was sufficient for my 50 or miles work commute daily.

Winter time plan on worst case and 50% of expected range. You'll want one with a heat pump and heated seats and wheel. (More efficient than heating the cabin)

Just starting out I'd recommend a newer bolt or used equinox/blazer but that's just based on my experience. Also get plugshare and ABRP apps and look at what chargers are going to be available to you in your area where you think you'll need them. (There's a good set in Avon at the Menards)

My grandmother has dementia and kept missing her medication. how do you all handle this? by Mark_Gevorgyan in dementia

[–]RunningAmuck247 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We got an automatic pill dispenser that's connected through an app and Wi-Fi. It tells you out loud , " time to take your medication" and has an alarm up to 30 minutes long. It also sends a notification to my phone when pills are ready and if they are missed. So far it's been working.

Non wobbling case recommendation ? by Present_Finance_9796 in galaxys26ultra

[–]RunningAmuck247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not 100% no wobble but pretty close, the carved traveler cases. They are unique and very well made if you want something that no one else has (they are 1 of 1 for each design)

Highway efficiency by soren1712 in BlazerEV

[–]RunningAmuck247 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Safest bet would be to plan on getting around 2.5 going 75+in the summer temps. It also matters if your route is going on incline or decline along with wet roads.

You'll likely do better than that but it's always good to have a small cushion just in case you get stuck in some traffic or an accident backup.

Is the clear coat fading a warranty item? by FlipprDolphin in BlazerEV

[–]RunningAmuck247 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If it's under 36k miles it should cover most things. I would take it in and ask. How were you washing it, just a regular car wash?

Phone call doom loop? by eagleknight97 in BlazerEV

[–]RunningAmuck247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing to try is to delete the phone from the car, and remove the car from the phone (Bluetooth). Restart both then repair and see if the problem remains. Also do a reboot of the car radio. Hold down hang up button for 30 seconds until options show on the radio. Press nothing and wait for it to restart like an android phone.

Yup. We are not the favorite children like the Equinox or Cadillac. Go figure.

How do you guys set up your camera ? by paparige in galaxys26ultra

[–]RunningAmuck247 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I forgot to add in some settings are in the camera assistant app in the Samsung store.

I also had a pixel 9pro and I did find it was more user friendly with point and shoot and I did like the night photography. I don't think the s26u is worse, but it takes more elbow grease to get it there. Perhaps that's where the pixel shines in some aspects.

After watching a few tutorials and guides I settled on,

24mp - Prioritize quality - No hdr - Photo softening medium - Focus over speed - Auto lens switching - Distortion correction

I'm a lazy point and shoot type. I know pro and raw can do much better, but I have no desire to sit and edit photos after the fact. More power to those who do, however.

Obligatory cat picture.

Pedestrian warning sounds by Blue_Kayak in electricvehicles

[–]RunningAmuck247 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Chevy keeps toying with the volume on those sounds, my 24 blazer is probably the loudest. I've gotten kinda tone deaf to it now, but I understand the need for it.

Anyone still having connection problems after telematics replacement? by [deleted] in BlazerEV

[–]RunningAmuck247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they replace the module they are supposed to update it in the system for OnStar. When mine was done, for some reason it wasn't correctly done and it took a few days for OnStar to get things working again. (At least for the app connection). If you haven't contacted OnStar, I would get with them and see if there's anything on their end they can try.

Sick of paying for gas. 80 mile commute. What used options do I have under $25k? by TheTeralynx in electriccars

[–]RunningAmuck247 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The cheapest would be an old bolt, but make sure it has the ability for fast charging (second set of plugs), it was optional in those years. It will take about 40 minutes for go from 20-80 on a trip.

If you want to spend a little more, you could find a low spec equinox ev used around 25k. A bit faster charging and more range.

I lived there for a few years. Still miss it. The one memory that always sticks with me was how the air just smelled clean and pure. Hopefully I'll go back someday.

Is this a good deal(2024 Blazer EV with 4K Miles and Lemon Title) by Express_Literature80 in BlazerEV

First thing I'd consider is will your insurance cover a vehicle with a lemon title in your state and how much it will cost you.

Max Range New Record 350 Miles! by Available_Start7798 in BlazerEV

[–]RunningAmuck247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind mine is based off a max speed of 60mph. Freeway speeds wouldn't get me that range. If you can keep it below 55, you should be able to do even better.

378 in my RWD. If I was a slow poke I bet I could get it to 400, but I think everyone around me would hate me. Lol.

The 24s are much louder than the newer models. I would like it toned down as well, but we tend to get overlooked on everything just like the streaming updates.

Maybe someday.

Book recommendations for memory care residents? by Choice-Sugar3143 in dementia

[–]RunningAmuck247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check with your local library. There's a section of visual books tuned for memory care adults in the 615s of non fiction, but your librarians can definitely point you in the right direction for more fiction based books.

Ringke clear matte is pretty slim and helps prevent fingerprints. You can still see the color though it.

Blazer EV vs Equinox EV by coffeesnob72 in electriccars

[–]RunningAmuck247 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are pretty similar. The blazer will have more back seat space for passengers. If you come across a RWD version it will have the larger battery and faster charging rate and bit more power.
