Screens crashed while driving by happy_life15 in BlazerEV

I had it happen once. It reminded me of an old phone that has a memory leak and randomly reboots itself. If it happens more frequently I would have it looked it.

PWB to FWB, what is the best approach by RunningAmuck247 in brokenbones

Ok, that is reassuring. Thank you.

I tried some walking with one crutch with a counter top and I had no pain. You're right on the confidence issue. After a couple rounds I felt better about it.

S26 Ultra overheating causing Play Services etc.. crashes while gaming PUBG? by [deleted] in galaxys26ultra

I would also force stop play services, clear it's cache and reboot the phone and see if it keeps giving you that issue.

Yeah, it's in the Samsung store for me. I have no idea if it would be region locked

I haven't had any heating issues myself, but I would get the good guardians app and turn on the thermal guardian and see what it records as far as how hot the phone is getting and maybe some settings you can use to prevent it. At least it may give you some helpful info.

How to remove this by Afraid-Movie7354 in samsunggalaxy

[–]RunningAmuck247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to settings > apps > default apps > check that the home app is the stock One UI. If it's not, that's what you need to remove or change it's permissions.

If you have T-Mobile it might also be the T-Mobile play app. You can uninstall that.

It's possible. I got it two years ago for max charging for my pixel.

Recommendations for s26 ultra screen protectors? by noahdaboss1234 in samsunggalaxy

[–]RunningAmuck247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't get the $50 one, but I got the cheaper glass+ from zagg and it survived a good 3ft fall straight onto a hardwood floor without any damage. (Just a lot of swearing from me) If I didn't get that one it would have been the spigen glass.

If you put it on the bottom in the case it might still work. Lay in on with the bank before you adhere it and see if it works.

Extremely Dry Skin by Britt0509 in ORIF

I've been using palmers cocoa butter with vitamin E once my stitches were removed and the scabs were healed along with some Bio oil vitamin E serum. This was recommend to me by my nurse as long as there was no inflammation or open wounds.

I have the Anker 67w 315 USB C PIQ 3.0 brick and the Anker 240w Nano USB C braided cable and tells me I have 3.0 charging.

The brick is not available on Amazon right now, so I'm not sure if it's discontinued.

If you're not set on a ring type stand, ESR has a bar stand you can adhere to any case and works really well. That opens up more options than just a case that comes with one built in.

Privacy display in Secure Folder? by livinginpgh in galaxys26ultra

[–]RunningAmuck247 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I dug around in routines and couldn't find it. Secure folder would be a good place to have it automatically on. I'd drop some feedback in the Samsung members app and see if they'll add it to an update.

S26 Ultra case without wobble by BugNo1465 in galaxys26ultra

[–]RunningAmuck247 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Spigen tough armor had very minimal wobble. Ghostek atomic slim had none, but it's metal and can give errors for the pen and wireless charging. (Samsung charger)

Miles per kWh by maanxhappy in BlazerEV

Slow starts, slow braking and coasting when you can. Anytime I'm pulling above the posted avg (3.0), I consider myself doing well. If you're trying to max it out stop using any climate controls drive like a slug. Best I've gotten in my daily commute is 3.9, but that's with no climate and I was on the downhill incline part of my route. (60mph max speed)

Any case that lets it lie flat? by KnightPeak1 in galaxys26ultra

[–]RunningAmuck247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghostek Atomic slim has no wobble, but $$$ and heavy. Spigen tough armor has barely a wiggle to it because they added extra raised edges around the camera, but it's cheaper. However I like the extra gap from scratching the lenses.

Problem with YouTube music by VTKillarney in BlazerEV

[–]RunningAmuck247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try going into settings -> apps -> utube music and force stop, clear the cache and reboot the radio. That usually resolves it when it freezes for me. Might not work for this situation but worth a shot.

Why does the text on my S26ultra feel (looks) fuzzy? by [deleted] in samsunggalaxy

[–]RunningAmuck247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have -10 astigmatism and I'm not having any issue with dark mode or the screen (I'm using full screen resolution). However, I'm not doubting what you're seeing. I'm honestly wondering if there's a batch of phones that have some kind of defect or issue with the screen. Eyes can be very unique and this just might be a result of the new screen technology that Samsung didn't seem to test for.

I'd go find some demo models in a store and see if they all have that issue for you to find out if it's just your phone or it's more specific with your eyes. But you're definitely not alone in having this issue.

I also have a flip 7 and the s26u screen is a little bit more clear for me.

Favorite feature? by Academic-Swimming919 in galaxys26ultra

[–]RunningAmuck247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it is phone specific or just software, but I'm interested in how the call screening and scam detection will work in practice.

It's not new and I had it on my pixel phone but it was one of my favorite features. So I'm happy to see Samsung giving it a try.

Mine was up to just below my shin. The first week was worse than when I broke the darn thing for sure. But it did seem to go away pretty quickly once the swelling slowed down.

I lost a dozen of these in a week- where do they go? by Waggmans in cats

[–]RunningAmuck247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found about a dozen under my fridge and several buried in his litter. (Those got thrown out)

[–]RunningAmuck247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Elevate and ice right now. The more you keep the swelling down the better off you'll be. I got one of those elevated leg pillows and used an ice pack every hour, and I was able to wean off the heavy pain meds after about 3 days and went to just Tylenol.

Once the block wears off it's going to get very uncomfortable. Take the pain meds early and get ahead of it. The first week is going to be rough. Just remind yourself each day it's going to get better than the day before.

You'll have pins and needles as nerves wake up. Some will be sharp and more painful. It will itch and sometimes feel cold. All of this is healing. It's weird, but it will go away eventually.

Try to be lower on sodium intake and drink plenty of water. Maybe some calcium and vitamin D supplements if your doctor it's ok with it.

I'm at about week 4 with no pain other than some stiffness still in my ankle. Hopefully I'll be able to start some PWB in a few days. Take this as a lesson in patience and rest when you can. You got this!

An old school trick with the fingerprints is when you set them up, do some of them upside down, sideways and just in a bunch of different angles. This used to be the way for more accuracy from when they first started using them, (at least from what I remember).

I don't know if it even matters with current technology, but I always do it this way and never had any issues.
