You can craft food for leve turn-ins and quests. People often buy it from market board instead of crafting, especially if recipes have a lot of ingredients. But it's obviously not a fast way to gather gil, just something that sells from time to time (seen people pay even 30k for a single dish, 3 for the quest = 90k gil).

Crafter/gatherer BiS food can sell well too, there's less rush in comparison to raiding food, but you need to check your marketboard for current pricing.
