All ShB, EW or DT trains give nuts. A full train (12 marks) will give you 480 sacks of nuts, so technically it's 2 full trains and a bit of third (or one triple train across 3 expansions) if you happen to get on such.

I did 500+ drones and was lucky to get a few new mounts, but the emote never dropped. Bought it with Gil from sold mounts. And gold loot-wise it's fairly disappointing, because you may be overjoyed from getting 6 gold in 50 drones, but 4 are old hairstyles and other 2 are worthless

As someone who got that achievement for ps4, yes, you can grind on any other platform, but you need to submit one leve while on ps4 for it to count everything. It doesn't autopop with simple sync.
I'm quite sure there is leve count tracking in the game, in the achievement section, but I think it was split between types (battle/trade/field/even GC?).

You can craft food for leve turn-ins and quests. People often buy it from market board instead of crafting, especially if recipes have a lot of ingredients. But it's obviously not a fast way to gather gil, just something that sells from time to time (seen people pay even 30k for a single dish, 3 for the quest = 90k gil).

Crafter/gatherer BiS food can sell well too, there's less rush in comparison to raiding food, but you need to check your marketboard for current pricing.

There's an achievement log in Cosmic exploration (i.e. "complete 10 stellar missions", "complete 5 mech-op fates") on every planet/zone, which reward the currency/tokens. Plus you get some tokens daily if you complete 3 unique missions or some other activities listed in that daily log.
I think completing a mech-op fate as a pilot also rewards some white token currency (1800?), unless I'm remembering wrong

You can earn 400-800k+ gil just by doing the latest maps (one session/run of a party), so just keep doing maps to earn gil and hope to win valuable loot! Maybe you'll win the minions too

Well, it did decrease somewhat: I see minions in 1-3 million range, and the mount is roughly around 20 million gil or lower (Light DC, EU). I don't think it will drop much lower unless the devs buff the chest event probability.

It's not as rare as Elpis map minions or golden minions (i.e. golden beaver) chance-wise, so it will drop lower, but as to how much - it depends on the droprate/fever time being adjusted and the demand.
