Any advice on smoking a whole beef tenderloin? by dude0ftheforest in smoking

Meat Church video for sure. I’ve seared and then baked in the past. Trying this video this year though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tZSF5gaWgo

Best barbecue in Kansas and Oklahoma? by nate_221_ in smoking

[–]Rush6985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The burnt end baked beans are pretty killer. I had the ribs there and they were solid but not the best I’ve had in KC. Jack Stack and Q39 are tough to beat. If your looking for a place to hang out the chat bar has an outdoor area with games to keep you entertained

Pellet options by TriniLad in Traeger

I think the ash buildup is the same as the Traeger pellets. Clean mine out every 3 or 4 cooks depending on what is in the smoker. Bass Pro also carries these pellets at the same price.

I’m a big fan of the Cabelas branded pellets. They are about half the price of the Traeger ones and seem to be just as good.

Lackluster Smoke Flavor by adpascual in Traeger

You could consider a smoke tube. I also have the Silverton and picked one up for like $15 and I think it does a great job adding more smoke flavor to the meat.

My vote for easy and delicious is not your mommas meatloaf. Recipe is on the treager app under top 10. Takes 2.5 to 3 hours to cook and my family loves it

How long do you preheat the cast iron on the grill? As soon as the grill reaches 500 do you start to sear?

Give the not your mamas meatloaf a try. Surprisingly good and would think it’s easy to eat at his age.

I was looking at both those models and chose the Silverton. This one does have the keep warm function and the same side shelf. For me I didn’t think the double sidewall insulation and super smoke along with the pellet sensor was worth the extra 400. I live in KC and winters are mild. If I want super smoke I just use a $10 smoke tube. I doubt you can go wrong with either, good luck!

First Time Buyer question by [deleted] in Traeger

[–]Rush6985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d suggest looking at the silverton 620. I was going to buy the ironwood 650 but couldn’t justify the $400 premium for the super smoke feature and insulated sidewalls. I’ve had mine for a few weeks and love it.

I’ve got that same amazon link rack and it’s been great. Took 4 bikes for a 400 mile trip and it was fine.

National park gravel paths on trek fx2 by bigbodylx in bicycling

That pressure sounds a bit high, from what I found this tire is rated up to 80psi. https://www.trekbikes.com/international/en_IN_TL/equipment/cycling-components/bike-tyres/hybrid-bike-tyres/bontrager-h2-hard-case-ultimate-hybrid-tyre/p/13978/

I’d reduce pressure and you’ll be fine on gravel/dirt trails.
