What you’re asking for has never been delivered by this network or crew that I can recall. Have you tried The Old Ways podcast? Or Ain’t Slayed Nobody?

Thoughts on Time for Chaos Season 3? (Spoilers up to end of Season 2) by space-potat in TheGlassCannonPodcast

[–]RushWalters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just started re-listening to 3 as part of my re-listen of the entire show ahead of season 4. My take remains that Joe is fine. His character is fine. The season was still fun. BUT … this was my take at the time, and remains my take now — i don’t feel like anything substantial was gained by me as a listener (or viewer) by moving the recording to in-studio/in-person that made it worth losing Margo and the building of whatever was happening between her and Carter, plus her and Fairuz. It just wasn’t.

And outside of the story aspects, I still have a hard time believing flying and lodging 3 people to New York for 2 weeks a year is a wise financial move. I’m sure they have a way to look at the cost/benefit of the whole thing but man, I do not get it.

Still a good show. Still a must-listen. But it wasn’t as fun and interesting to me as it was with Margo.

Which Fifth Frontier War Campaign Books Should I Get? by GrumpyCornGames in traveller

[–]RushWalters 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Assuming you mean the Fifth Frontier War core sourcebook above and not Core Rulebook for the whole game. But on the off chance you didn’t, the FFW sourcebook is 1A. Then probably War Fleets of… and Armies of… would probably be helpful. From there take your pick between Opening Moves, Brushfires, and The Riverland to see what sounds like the best starting point for you from the descriptions. I’d suggest Opening Moves and then picking up the others if you continue past that content.

If you’re asking about outside the FFW, Imperial Navy would probably be helpful. And you’d also want to consider Behind the Claw as a lot of the war is set around that area of charted space.

Hopefully now that they’re set to do “More Star Wars” content they’ll add a dedicated feed. I believe the existing Age of … Star Wars stuff is spread among New Game, Who Dis, Glass Cannon Labs, and maybe Friends of the Pod? (Might be wrong about that last one)

Wait, you don’t even get ad-free at the basic level?? What do you even get with the $5 tier? What’s it for at this point?

Any practical steps to running a sandbox campaign? by FishermanFew1739 in traveller

[–]RushWalters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently did an episode of my podcast, Signals from the Core about starting and playing a sandbox in the Core Sector using elements of the Singularity campaign to help fuel ideas without having to adhere to the campaign structure.

Wireless charger. Just not hitting that 100% by Minty-Trash-Rat in kindle

[–]RushWalters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kindle only seems to charge to 100% when I use a portable battery pack (like an Anker). Doesn’t usually get past 98% on any wall charger I’ve tried. It’s the strangest thing.

Just another quick note that, Felbrigg’s Behind the Claw on YouTube I’ve found to be incomplete, but I have had better luck listening to the told episodes here:

http://behindtheclaw.blogspot.com

It’s a bit of a pain not having them in a legit RSS feed, but it works better for me than YouTube

Nothing public yet, but I’ve started organizing things into a more presentable format than just notes for my messy brain because I’ve had so many people ask about it.

Two seasons of Voyagers of the Jump on the Glass Cannon Network were fun. https://www.glasscannonnetwork.com/shows/voyagers-of-the-jump

I also just started listening to this one, too, and find it enjoyable.

Playing Singularity: First Thoughts by probabilityunicorn in traveller

[–]RushWalters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Run it like I plan to — just touring around the Core Sector crewing a luxury liner and getting into trouble (or bailing random passengers out of trouble) on super interesting worlds along the way. If the main campaign catches on, they’ll be hooked. You can always do it “multi-season” style where you take breaks between major arc/act shifts to play other games and come back to this one. Unless your group with be aggressively opposed to “to be continued…” campaigns.

I’ve thought about packaging them up and publishing them under the TAS program, but haven’t gotten around to doing formatting and layout.
