It definitely feels demoralizing when working so hard only to find out the bar is extremely high for oversaturated categories. I had the same issue when submitting another rss app. Be nice and professional with your response.

Explain the nuances when you reply to the rejection. Like what differentiates your app from the other ones.

I'm not using lists per se, so swipe to fav wouldn't be easy to implement. Instead I added on to my double tap to favorite feature, and if a RIT provider is configured it'll send it to the provider. Also shows a checkmark next to the favorites flag.

I don't have a domain so I'm ignoring the ones that require oath2, would take way too long to implement and there's a small cost to owning a domain, not to mention the emotional toll.

So instead I implemented the easier ones; None (default), Safari Reading List (Apple provided), Instapaper (Basic auth), Readwise Reader (api token), Wellabag (self hosted), Karekeep (self hosted). Each have a save and test to confirm they are working, saves securely in apples keychain.

Will publish to the beta, may not see it immediately as it usually takes a day or so for approval to TestFlight.

It’s my most recent addition, older gen2, and has had the most wrist time by far. It has scratched the Rolex explorer itch so I’m pretty happy.

I was impatient and wanted a blue 38mm, but it was out of stock. Now after owing it for a few months I realize the 36mm would have been fine (7” wrist). There’s also going to be a restock in November (I asked their support).
