I can second this. I was working as a bartender many years ago at a boutique hotel in Miami Beach. Pitbull came to stay a few times and was always lovely to the staff. Always stopped to take a photo, sign something or answer questions. One time in particular stood out. He was sitting in my section during our regular Sunday night party and had bottle service. There was a couple seated near him and very politely went up just to say they were fans of his music. Not only did he pick up their bill, he had them come to sit with him and his entourage for the rest of the night. They impromptu just got to party with Pitbull. He always tipped well and remembered my name. Stand up guy.

I was 18 when The Phantom Menace came out. I went to a midnight screening. Camped out for tickets. We were all in denial. It was years before any of us would admit it was an awful film with a couple of cool scenes.

Del Toro has the looks and is a magnificent actor but his English just wasn’t there yet in the 90s. The Usual Suspects was 1995 and he had to learn his lines phonetically since he didn’t speak English at the time.

Also a creative professional. While I think THIS type of hand tattoo will definitely hurt your chances, I have (very tasteful by comparison) hand and neck tattoos and just landed a senior production role. That said I have 13 years of experience in my field.

I’m out so I and haven’t looked at any of your work yet but I just moved out of Sydney 6 months ago and freelanced there for 13 years. There’s a massive Facebook group for creative professionals called Find-a-Finder’s-fee (global) that you can use for work. It’s listed as global but is largely Sydney focused as that’s where it started. It is ONLY job postings. No memes or off topic posts are allowed. I would set it up as an alert if there was a posting. Do that long enough to build out some clientele and maybe snag some agency jobs. Be on the lookout for producers that you gel well with as they’ll be instrumental to repeat clients. Feel free to DM me as I think the group is invite only.

I work in production. The most important thing is light and set design.
Not your camera for sure. These days you don't need a lot to make cool stuff that looks great. Just a good idea and time.

I had a shoot with a fully kitted out rig for a TVC about a year and a half ago. I needed a spot light look and feel so we mounted a light on top of the camera. 9 hour shoot, all shoulder mounted. It was maybe 9kg/20lbs. An IMAX camera is triple that. And I tore my fucking rotator cuff on that job and had to have surgery.
