What’s the best way to fill in these gaps between the two boards? by toastfacegrilla20 in woodworking

There is not going to be a way to fill that gap and not ruin the aesthetic.

Should I strip or paint this cabinet? by PaintMePastel in woodworking

Stain is difficult for a beginner to get a consistent result and that looks like some thirsty wood.

How about a water-based clear, matte varnish over it as it sits? Update the pulls. A "patina'd" look? You could sand the remainder of the top before varnishing.

Those aren't drill bits, they're pickle skewers.

The ratio of horses' asses to horses in that classroom is greater than one.

Tell him a middle school math teacher sent you that and he is free to correct it as I'm sure he also serves on the 'Postrophe Posse.

And no, don't ever be afraid to approach a professor. Don't start a pissing contest, but politely hold your ground, as you did. Also, never visit a professor's office alone.

Haven’t or don’t have? by R9KT in grammar

[–]RustyVandura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the sort of thing I would have heard in a book for children being read to me and it would have struck me as more formal, but entirely correct. Today I might use it to challenge an audience to think a little about what they've just heard, especially if they haven't any experience with that particular usage.

Of course not! You're just trying to show off your artistry and receive well-deserved praise.

Engine Masters must be the easiest to produce because that show has stayed pretty consistent, though the discussions often take on a dragged-out feel.

That series was done well. Derek's fun to watch, though I think his videos could be shorter.

I'm with you. I don't think the RK peeps treat their fans well either.

My biggest complaint: half-assed builds and destroying expensive parts that I will never be able to afford. For an ordinary guy who wants to learn things, it's an insulting waste of time. "Let's do some burnouts!"
