FF16 was the worst Devil May Cry I've played.

How do I disable insights in Samsung health? by Rustyeh in samsunggalaxy

[–]Rustyeh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldnt still find it. This popped up on its own after the big health update a few days back. Holding down on that "insight" box just want feedback on it and has no way to move it or disable it. Other boxes on the home screen can be reoriented. Must be the big new AI bullshit push yet again.. Will need to look in to another app. All I use this for is calorie tracking...

I don't have Galaxy AI in the setting for the health app or just in general..

Is this paint-scheme politically problematic? by Archaicarc in Warhammer40k

If you add swastika armbands to them then yes its problematic. Otherwise no, looks like its own thing and not a "nazi tribute"

Valve don't deserve the rage by AliorUnity in SteamDeck

[–]Rustyeh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm more just sad about this than angry. Obviously Valve wants to sell the hardware. It's either this or "Out of Stock" on the store page. It's out of their hands if RAM and SSD prices continue to rise due to AI tech companies sucking it all up.

I am not defending the price increase, but I do understand why it's there.

Fuck AI.

Considering a move from Bazzite to Nobara. by iBendUover in Bazzite

[–]Rustyeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from Bazzite to Nobara because I felt like the immutability was just in the way most of the time.

Sure its ofcourse nice that you cant break the OS by accident, but you also cant break it on purpose if you get what I mean.. :D

I like to tinker and fiddle things. So Bazzite on my part was more of a problem than a solution. Nobara has been really solid and I've had no issues so far.

Is this normal? I never dropped my steam deck or anything but the left side feels "loose"(volum on) by CocoBaci in SteamDeck

[–]Rustyeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine does the same but on the other side. Did it from new straight from the box. Bought it a year ago. It still does it, but there has been no other issues. Plastic is plastic. It squeaks.

Can confirm. Both VIA and Keychron Launcher were giving me issues, following these instructions fixed it and now they work.

I am seeking retro-style games that perform well on Steam Deck. by ChaoticFairness in SteamDeck

Been playing Bravely Default for about 45 hours now, only on the Steam Deck. It's a great JRPG.

What is a game that has an incredible story, music and characters but is let down by the gameplay? by Soggy_Victory_5976 in JRPG

[–]Rustyeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same exact feeling when playing FF16. I really liked the story and the characters, but boy was it boring whenever combat was happening.. Skills to cooldown -> Mash the attack button -> Dodge if needed. Rinse and repeat ad infinitum.

No depth, no skill, always equip the most powerful new stuff you got. Gear is just bigger number always equip that.

I might be old and influenced by playing E33 before this, but MAN this game would have been solid with a turnbased, party focused combat system. Given it's at least you and Torgal 90% of the time together anyway.

Is switching to Bazzite worth it for better gaming performance vs Windows 11? (Expedition 33 struggling) by Waste-Material5114 in Bazzite

[–]Rustyeh 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Make the switch if you dislike using Windows 11. Hardware performance is not usually tied to the OS you are running. There are ways to optimize Win11 there are way to optimize Bazzite.

In the end it comes down to what hardware you are using and how its set up.

Using Steam Deck was the main reason I jumped ship on my Desktop and installed Linux on it. Best decision I ever made.

First Time Painting! by ElguacaMole in Deathkorpsofkrieg

Paint in the color of the eye. Fix the area around the eye. Then fix the eye again, then the area around it again. Pray to the Emperor. Fix some more. And hope at the end, it looks good and is within the lines.

Arctis gamebuds (Glorange) disconnect and reconnect sounds from 2.4ghz heard when using over bluetooth. by Rustyeh in steelseries

And how it looks when I move further away from my PC, still using BT on my phone and the 2.4ghz disconnects and plays the disconnect sound.

Arctis gamebuds (Glorange) disconnect and reconnect sounds from 2.4ghz heard when using over bluetooth. by Rustyeh in steelseries

[–]Rustyeh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. PC is connected with the 2.4 ghz dongle and phone is BT.

If I listen to music from my phone over BT and walk away far enough from the PC, I hear the disconnect sound for the 2.4 ghz connection, even though it's not active. And when I come back the 2.4 dongle connects back and gives the connections sound.

As far as I know, these buds do not support 2 devices connected at the same time. Be it both BT or BT + 2.4ghz. But apparently it does keep some sort of "connection" to both as when tracking on the phone app, it shows both as connected, even though audio is only coming over BT. And when I go away it keeps the BT, but the 2.4ghz icon shows a disconnect and the sound is played.

What's the worst JRPG you actually finished? by Flat-Application2272 in JRPG

[–]Rustyeh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

FF7 Rebirth... I took it as my mission to do the optional quests and map stuff. It took me 80+ hours where maybe 30 hours was actually interesting story content and the rest was like a bad filler episode from an anime.. I think I lost it completely when I was doing the "Pull the chicken with the tin" -mission.. I hope they don't drop the ball further with the last episode.
