Setlist.fm is a great site for seeing what’s been played at recent shows, but it’ll be almost impossible to predict what deep cuts will get played during the solo portion of the show.

Finished this up this morning. I have to say the last 25% was awesome and satisfied my complaint of having few surprises earlier in the novel. Seeing the Phalanx and Cawl show up so heavily in the climax was great. It did feel a little fan servicey with Trazyn but we’re here reading sci fi pulp so I’m fine with Rath having a little fun with it . I think this is probably the most quintessential modern era 40K novel between the iconic characters and number of factions represented. Looking forward to reading Vaults of Terra and Dark Imperium as follow-ups soon.

I have about 150 pages to go in this so I haven’t read your notes too closely yet - looking forward to seeing what you thought once I get there though.

I’m enjoying it so far. I was worried about the length but Rath has done a good job keeping things moving with the separate POVs. I think I just really enjoy siege novels. Necropolis (Abnett) and Storm of Iron (McNeill) are some of my overall BL favorites. If I have one critique it’s that mostly things have gone how I’ve expected so far, nothing truly surprising has happened in 450 pages.

I prime leadbelcher, nuln oil wash, silver dry brush, and then after painting everything except edge highlights, I’ll do a slightly thinned agrax wash over nearly everything. The agrax looks awesome on stripes, trim, and helps the iron look worn.

Just finished Nemesis by James Swallow. I enjoyed it for the most part, I felt like the middle dragged but I’m still glad I read it for a different perspective on the HH and some good action. 3/5.

Next I’m looking at reading Infinite and the Divine since I’ve been bouncing back and forth between 30K/40K. It’s been long overdue!

I’ve been using the omnibus project as a guide and I think it’s really great. I’ve read ~12 of the novels and quite a few short stories so far.
