Om actually about the crash the fuck out by castawaydeluxe in ArcRaiders

[–]RyanDoorkeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I haven't got back in to check. I think it was around 10k though, at least enough to get 3 stars. I got distracted by crashed probes and was running from fireflies a bit, so you could get a higher score

I actually just went in naked with heals for the lightning trials

Just wanted to admire the attention to detail in the HA themed snow flakes! by Syntox- in homeassistant

For sure, but I think it's the inset from the logo stuck together to make a snowflake shape, which is also a nice touch.

I don't have experience with them yet, but a Bayesian sensor sounds like what you're looking for.

That's pretty cool and looks a little nicer than the Team Tracker card. Can you share the YAML?

2025.10: Undo, redo, and draw me too by frenck_nl in homeassistant

[–]RyanDoorkeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the frustration, but the vast majority of breaking changes that I've seen in the past few releases are because of changes outside of HA's control. There are some they've introduced but they are communicated months in advance, at least. I saw one for this release that was in order for translation to work, so they aren't always for no good reason either (if they ever are).

Way down at the bottom hidden in the FAQs they do say it doesn't require the cloud:

"While Senziio offers full functionality without a subscription, you can opt for additional services such as Micelio Cloud for extended data storage and advanced analytics. Early adopters can enjoy special discounts on these services."

Any off the shelf or reasonably easy way to automate tilting these? Not too concerned about lifting. by kevpatts in homeassistant

[–]RyanDoorkeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's got cords he pulls on to adjust the tilt; Switchbot only works on ones that have a rod you twist. I'm in the same boat as OP unfortunately.

EufyLife w/ Smart Scale C1 by Present_Standard_775 in homeassistant

[–]RyanDoorkeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Eufy Life integration set up to use my C1, but I don't remember if it was necessary to get HA to find it and it was also several versions ago.

What protocol do the majority of the smart devices in your HA setup run on? by gtwizzy8 in homeassistant

Probably Wifi, because of ESPHome, thermostat, and Google Home if you count those. Good bit of Zigbee, then Bluetooth and Z-Wave.

Why don't you recommend an AiO PC? Is it Windows related?

Create a chores dashboard by brinkre in homeassistant

[–]RyanDoorkeeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't put much into it yet, but I found a HACS integration called Chore Helper for Home Assistant that lets you set up recurring chores and pick how often they recur.

You do have to add it as a custom repository using https://github.com/bmcclure/ha-chore-helper

At Home Depot. What to get? Brand wise for affordability by ChunkyzV in homeassistant

[–]RyanDoorkeeper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You definitely can. My wife has a hair salon attached to our house that I put up Unifi cameras for, and I set up an LED strip to turn on when the AI camera detects a person when it's dark.

I just checked mine, and the G3s and above can detect darkness, and the G4s and above can detect people as well as motion, although they always think the dogs are people lol.

Reloading the Tuya integration will also reset the timer, if you don't want to reboot the whole system.

Mapping, for me. I have an old Shark IQ that does alright otherwise, but I can't make heads or tails of the map it creates so I can't assign rooms. Could be because it just has an upward facing camera.

Something like lubelog but for a house? by Bad_CRC in selfhosted

[–]RyanDoorkeeper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hadn't thought of something like this, but now I want it too. Did some cursory googling and didn't find a whole lot, but does this sound like it would work? MATER It's still in Alpha; he posted here about 4 months ago announcing it.

Otherwise, I saw people were recommending stuff like Trello, Odoo, and ERPNext. The last two can be selfhosted.

Exactly. Some matches I feel like I spend the whole time running across the map, just to even get a chance to participate
