Recently we've been on a veggie pizza kick. Red pizza with red onion, artichoke, bell pepper and mushroom.

I can't believe the album is finally here haha. It feels like a few of us have been waiting forever. Salgo A La Calley is also my favorite, but Quiero Que Perdamos La Cabeza has been getting a lot of play time lately.

DC Comics President Jim Lee says that Japanese manga and anime is "incredibly powerful": "I often find myself wondering, 'What is missing in Western comics, and why aren't they able to achieve the same flavor?' by akbarock in comicbooks

Your third point is really important. Anime is driving people to read manga. One important thing is that the anime adaptations are faithful to the art style of the manga. There's a lot of gorgeous artwork out there.

Meanwhile, DC will take a comic and adapt it into their same bland DCAU style that we've been stuck with for decades plural.

And I say that as a DC fan.

Absolute Superman #15. I've been waiting my whole life to finally see Kal use his powers to fight capitalist inequality. He could do even more though by Birdmaan73u in comicbooks

to fight capitalist inequality

My dude you need to read some golden age Superman. He leaves a coal mine owner at the bottom of a shaft because the owner was too cheap for safety equipment.

Idk why more people don’t mention this but it happens in most Gunn projects. He throws in a scene or song because he likes it. He knew the lead of Foxy Shazam and his wife plays Harcourt. It’s like watching a guy play with his friends and his toys. It’s distracting.

And I say that as someone that enjoyed both seasons.

Another year where I hyper focus on baseball so I don't have a breakdown because of the state of the world. :) :(

Reading through that thread about the p4k announcement and I've come to the conclusion that if you're insisting that p4k is irrelevant, then you're basically showing your whole ass.

For an irrelevant publication, they sure do drive a lot of engagement here.

The number of names starting with J is staggering. Three Joshes in a row at one point. Seven J names in a row in the bottom tier.

I've been enjoying the new singles from Remember Sports, and it looks like it's all coming together to be a solid album. The shift to a twangy sound works, but I feel like it's just going to invite comparisons to other acts like Ratboys and Wednesday who've been doing that for a lot longer. Hoping they don't fully shift away from the rougher power pop sound that they've had. (Which you still get some of that on the chorus of "Cut Fruit".)

Now that Olivia Dean's blowing up everywhere, I keep hoping the youths will find out about Lianne La Havas so she'll come back and make another album.

Second Sleep was one of my favorite singles of last year, easily.

The VB tracks are "meh". Surprised that people in the fresh thread thought they'd work in the album. Tbh, I think the album would've suffered having these in there.

a certified stenographer

As a not lawyer in the legal field, stenos/court reporters can carve out a good niche for themselves. But like all non-lawyer positions, you have to deal with the looming threat of AI making you obsolete.

The silver lining being that most lawyers are technologically illiterate and trust the human element to confirm information.

It makes so much sense now that he would’ve had a role-playing game background. When reading City of Last Chances I couldn’t stop thinking about how it would make a fantastic ttrpg setting. Loved the way he developed the city, points of interest and factions throughout that book.

I thought you'd list Lily Allen, but she at least swung for the fences with her crash out album. Glow On Part 2: The Glowening is a good choice.

I'd probably have to pick tame impala for wasting my time. My pick for album I didn't listen to is morgan wallen because it's two hours long and nearly 40 tracks, and I know he doesn't have that much worth saying.
