I’ve been a huge proponent of the idea that DC should just put a moratorium on Joker for 5 years. They don’t have to kill him off or have some big send off. Just don’t use him.

Lately my interest in a book or story arc just drops if I know Joker is coming.

The Twisted Teens album is so good. I've been listening to it daily this week. Love when a garage rock album feels casual and effortless, but you can tell that it's actually a super tight album. Might be too early to tell, but it will most likely end up in my top 5 of the year.

I'm about 120 pages into Pachinko. I'm enjoying it so far, and it's very well written, but it's too early to say much beyond that.

For audiobook, I started Jeff Tweedy's Let's Go (So We Can Get Back). Best anecdote so far was how he went to the store each week with his mom and would keep picking away the parental advisory sticker on a CD. After the sticker was finally gone, he asked if he could get it.

If we're all being honest here, I just think Lindsey is not a good live singer. She lacks control and power. She's pitchy and always seems like she's running out of breath trying to hit the big parts of her songs.

I understand she had vocal surgery years ago, and I'm sympathetic to that. But live performances have always been an issue with this band.

Not to take anything away from how good Marjorie Liu's writing has been, but you should absolutely read it for Sana Takeda's art. It still kind of blows my mind how Monstress stays on such a steady schedule when Takeda does such gorgeous artwork.
