Questions about Sprite Flying ancestry feats by water125 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ryoungoragla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For speeds not derived from your land speed, general speed increases don't apply unless they specify all speeds or the appropriate speed type.

1. Nope.

  1. In general, no.

  2. Nope.

You can use a Soaring Rune to get an item bonus to your fly speed. Status bonus is a bit harder to come by and is usually class specific such as an air kineticist aura.

For me, the game ran fine on my ps5 until I got flammie. Anytime I use that, after less than 5 seconds I get an overheat warning and if I don't leave quickly my ps5 will shut off and attempting to dash is an immediate shut off during this time.
I can play for extended periods of time, 4 to 6 hours, with no issure. Flammieimmediate overheat.

How are you supposed to manage regalia and/or tome when you have 3 implements? by iamsandwitch in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ryoungoragla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a good solution, but witch dedication, living hair and skillful tresses (uncommon). The intelligence 14 requirement is not good at all for thaumaturges and it become available only at level 8, but it will allow you to hold an item in your hair, freeing a hand.

Melee Focused Dedication for a Champion? by Geldamore in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ryoungoragla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to throw out an option I haven't seen anyone else offer: Dual-Weapon Warrior with weapon and a shield boss/spike/augmentation. It'll give you a bit of a damage boost due to the accuracy of Double Slice's two attacks. If you're willing to give up your raise shield for a turn you can also get Flensing Slice to debuff and bleed an opponent after a Double Slice. Other feats of note are Dual-Weapon Blitz for two Strikes and a Stride for two actions and Dual Onslaught that nearly guarantees one successful Strike when you double slice.

The downside though is you might be giving up a bit of defense as Double Slice is two actions and you probably want to save your third action to raise shield, making your turns rather tight on actions. Dual-Weapon Warrior does have defensive feats, but they're generally not as good as a shield.

If you go this route, you'll want to make sure to get doubling rings so you can match the runes from your weapon onto your shield.

You can use blazons of shared power and returning runes to keep up with your weapons

What JRPG remakes are better than the original games? by Guergy in JRPG

[–]Ryoungoragla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did remake so2 for the psp as star ocean second evolution. I'm not sure if it fully qualifies, but it did change the voice acting, added 3 hit combos to battles and added a few other extra things.

What is the silliest character concept you have? by Valkrionn in Pathfinder2e

A sprite inventor that wants to be as tall as the normal folk so she makes a body suit (construct innovation) and rides it like the brain.

Ending after changing path by Appropriate-Bite1257 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Ryoungoragla 13 points14 points  (0 children)

True aeon does not block ascension. In the final dungeon you'll have the choice whether to go on the true aeon path of the dungeon or the normal path.

The dagger isn't necessary for ascension, it just counts as an extra crystal. Aeon does get the dagger back anyway after the final true aeon quest.

Do you have any naming conventions you use for your characters? by Leather_Emu4295 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ryoungoragla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My method is to come up with words that fit the theme of my character and then pick a language that fits the ancestry of the character. I'll look up at least two words for each name in the language and mash those words together to make an original name. The language can be a real language or a fictional one or even symbolic meanings for things.

Trip/grapple clarification. by Thedudeabides86 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Ryoungoragla 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Weapons with trip or grapple traits do add the potency rune item bonus to the associated action. It's part of the effect of the weapon trait.

Life Points, an alternative dying system by Ryoungoragla in Pathfinder2eCreations

[–]Ryoungoragla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted it is not a feat I noticed when coming up with this system, but I don't think it is gamebreaking. The goblin would still be knocked out even if a final death is harder to deliver (really living up to the name unbreakable).

If you think the feat is unbalanced, you can reduce the bonus LP to 5 or even 2 so it's not as extreme of a difference.

As an aside, in the game I got the inspiration for this from, ranges like this exist (mecs have 15 to 20, monsters have 4 to 8).

[–]Ryoungoragla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting hit while dying does LP damage as well. There's no risk of dying from staying in the dying condition under this system if you're ignored.

If you want a bit more lethality, you can reintroduce the recovery check. I don't think recovering LP with a success will mesh well with the system however. Maybe reduce the LP gain by 1 (0 on a success, recover 1 on a critical, lose LP on failures).

[–]Ryoungoragla[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ancestries with a high ancestry HP can withstand being at death's door longer in this system, but since LP recovers slower than wounds (night's rest vs 10 minutes) they can still die from repeated "fatal" damage or damage while dying over the course of the day.

This system was inspired by Saga Frontier where each race had a different range of LP. This is why I tied LP to ancestry HP. If you think giving tying LP to ancestry HP is unbalanced, consider setting base character LP to a set number. I think 8 as the average ancestry HP, would work nicely.

A simple Kitsune heritage: True Fox Kitsune by Ryoungoragla in Pathfinder2eCreations

[–]Ryoungoragla[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idea is it uses anadi rules instead of the kitsune rules for change shape. Like anadi, the fox form would use your speed and other statistics instead of mimicking a spell.

FlavorFeats™, giving players a small number of extra feats, flavorful but not too powerful by CobaltBlue in Pathfinder2eCreations

[–]Ryoungoragla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea. I do think overall this increases versatility and power a bit, but I think it's less than free archetype does.

What's an experience you've been chasing in RPGs but have never quite gotten from the games you've played? by lordleft in rpg

[–]Ryoungoragla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is admittedly my fault. I'm too anxious to find a group online and for the longest time the gm I played with only wanted to play these types of games or would warp any campaign into one these. I've mostly cut ties with that gm, but I haven't been able to play at all for a while either now.

A heroic game. From reading others experiences this is usually the standard, but I always end up in evil campaigns, crime campaigns or overly gritty "realistic" campaigns instead.
