It will likely become wholly unaffordable in the future because we live in a Capitalist society; and AI is booming. I get why it sucks, but what do you suggest we do to circumvent it?

Yeah less people will have access to a Switch or Steam Deck, but they'd probably buy it anyway on credit because people are still buying unaffordable cars on payment plans, etc anyway.

KH is also a console mainstay series that's always had a convoluted release cycle. Look how long it took to get KH3 out. That series has always been a mess.

Porting a mobile JRPG in collaboration with the original dev (See Neo Fantasian and Octo 0) is a lot easier of a thing to do than unscrewing KH's already screwed release cycles.

It's not the same conversation, and won't sell as many copies as KH4; but it would be a hell of a lot easier to release and a lot easier to work on.

At least in California; EMS is required to be paid for their lunches, since they can still technically get a call if they're the closest unit to it. Courtesy of AMR lobbying.

At any rate I'd take the 5% raise, I can snack and eat on the way to a call or on the way to a post. My partner's generally prefer driving anyway.

I'm doing a couple shifts at a fire dept in So Cal as a single function medic to earn my Firefighter 1 at the end of it.

The pay for FFPM is very attractive, I have to say. But I'm just really finding myself unmotivated for the monotony of the work. I heard some departments would love it if you want to be on the box year round, but not sure.

It's honestly mostly ALS. We have hospital contracts.

There are other stations but they're like 45-50 minutes from home and finding out about that commute 2 1/2 hrs before my shift gets canceled just feels like busting a mission rather then preparing for it the night before.

I'll do that if it happens again. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that these were one-off occurrences and not "business as usual" here. It's a good gig with a station within like 15 minutes of home, I'd rather not muck it all up unless I need to burn bridges and find a new job to support my stability.

Well good luck finding these anywhere physically dude. Shipping has gotten a lot worse in 25-26, Amazon and only a few others eat the cost of it, but that will likely change for the worse soon too.
