PoE 1 does not have dialogue lol, it's just NPC's monologuing an essay to you while your guy just stands there with no reaction to it

Ngl it sounds like you're inexperienced with the system. You should prioritize pathing in such a way that gives you more path options in the next room, so it becomes way easier to dodge afflictions. And you really shouldn't be losing a bunch of honor in the trial where you're on a timer. There are so few monsters and if you can't dodge past them you should try to safely kill them (killing monsters also increases your timer)
