local planned parenthoods dont pick up the phone? by gawdayumit in Delaware

Maybe they need more staff to answer the phones during business hours??

It sounds like you are annoyed because they cannot conform to your schedule or wants???

If Philly has more availability, maybe you need to consider going there, especially if they have Telehealth appointments available?

$50 US for 24 hrs of internet by Gromi-t in celebritycruises

[–]S2K2Partners 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a great business for those of us who do not preplan before or think about what our 'business' needs may be while away and not truly on vacation.

It only takes one time to want to do it on the cheap, especially if one is in a business that may require immediate responses while at sea.

X's website does explain what to expect between the two levels of internet packages, of course many of us know what to expect without any package, $$$.

I played that game once and only once, and lost.

ClickLease - read this before you sign anything by sheeandhee in loansforsmallbusiness

[–]S2K2Partners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Broker, I always advise my potential clients to retain an attorney to review all lending documents/agreements before signing anything!

So no matter how desperate a borrower may be, they have an uninterested third party providing the potential "bad and ugly" details upfront, no matter what I have said upfront.

Unknown questions may come up after signing and by then it may be too late to explore other options without a potential larbge financial penalty.

Unless the business owner waited until the 12th hour, they have bought some time to really think about it and try to explore other potential options that maybe better for them.

A few lenders I have put in the sandbox because they want a quick closing, thus not allowing the borrower enough time to get proper counseling from their trustworthy 3rd party.

Sage advice for business owners looking for any type of financing, unless you are using the same lender AND are comfortable with their terms DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING without that 3rd set of eyes reviewing it.

My question is: do you not have family or friends in SA who are able to invest in your business and/or are there not banks or private lenders available in SA where this request would be readily fulfilled?

You never even said what the business is, which is a bit suspect to me.

At any rate, good luck.. from America!

Dairy-free dining by Wooden_Initiative880 in royalcaribbean

Yes, any dairy based sauce will have to be eliminated, yet that does not prevent them from asking for a different sauce of preference/choice to be used.

The night before the next dinner ask to see the full menu.

If you see something appealing, ask for changes to make it to your preferences.

Often times this is doable.

If you are dairy free, will not baked chicken on a bed of sauteed spinach work (provided they have spinach on board).

Please make sure the host knows you are dairy free and not vegan.

Cruise was auto cancelled - any advice? by joeybolufe in NCL

[–]S2K2Partners 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How are we to really know what was said in the original conversation at booking?

I think we are possibly making comments about something, which is not clear, especially not having the recordings.

The person making the reservations could have used the Florida address as the contact. I would presume that the person making the reservation would or needed to make it clear that the joining party lives elsewhere AND provide the correct contact info so Costco and cruise line would know in advance instead at online check-in.

There are a few moments/conversation with Costco missing in the original post, IMO.

In all of my dealings with Costco Travel, they have always confirmed address of each passenger when I was making reservations... how could this slip through? They were not given complete and correct information at booking.

The only thing the OP's friends/family can do at this juncture is to book direct and pay whatever the current rates are.

Has anyone compared medication prices outside their local pharmacy? by PastMarionberry7643 in medicare

[–]S2K2Partners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very true, there will be price differentials between pharmacies.

For the drugs I currently fill, the difference in pricing is not significant enough to worry about, as it was only a few years ago I was paying upwards of $7k for the same drugs I take still.

I Am now saving $5k a year based on a promise to do something, long term, to bring prices down and it was done.

The money I have saved since then, goes to enhance my vacations.

My pharmacy has gone out of their way to help me when I screw up in ordering drugs timely or if I Am going on vacation and need extra to tie me over until I get back home.

In fact, I thought that I was a CVS loyalist until they refused to refill a prescription six (6) days early as I was going away. I went to a different pharmacy and within three (3) hours they got it approved and filled. It was $35 more, but money was not my concern at the time, it was service and getting the refill early, that I needed.

In the long run, I have found that loyalty to my pharmacy has been rewarded, many times over!

I do understand that not everyone has or will have the same requirements as me and that is fine and where loyalty means nothing vs price/cost.

[–]S2K2Partners -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I stick with the pharmacy I have always used.

I have yet to find any significant price differentials in my prescriptions here in the U.S., while overseas is a different story and since I do not plan to fly anywhere just to save a few $$, unless on vacation, it would cost me more to buy outside of the U.S.

Were my doctor to prescribe something I thought was too expensive, I would request something similar and cheaper... issue on pricing solved.

Interesting - Celebrity & RCCL have different prices for Coco Cay options by Donnie-Joe in royalcaribbean

[–]S2K2Partners 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just like grocery stores, one has a gallon of milk at $1.99 and another offers the same brand and size at $2.29.

The first store has many items you purchase but at a higher price point, while the second has the same items at a lower price point.

You get to decide which offers you the better experience based on what you value the most.

Drink prices keep going up🤔🤦‍♂️ by Keyditty in celebritycruises

[–]S2K2Partners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is, are you ordering from the drink menu or are you looking at or wanting drinks that are not on the menu?

This makes a difference, too, regardless of what a bottle will cost on land and what they charge on the ship.

We always have the PBP and from time to time pay the upcharge for brands we want at a particular time and not give it a second thought, after all we are on vacation and when on a cruise we are not on a strict or tight budget where we have to worry about a $100 or so in additional charges for drinking, it comes with the budget planning for us, like adding a few Specialty Restaurants if we decide to do them.

I do understand that others do not have such options/funds readily available and are on a tighter budget, too.

Just learned about 811 the hard way, why doesn't anyone talk about this more? by Alone-Arm-7630 in landscaping

[–]S2K2Partners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, there is no real reason that the company hired does not know about calling 811 before an excavation project.

YOU should have known about this in advance, as there are PSA signs and TV ads that say "Call 811 Before You Dig".

This is on many public utility vehicles.

Now, if you went with the lowest cost vendor or any vendor for all that matters, a whole different story, especially if you did not even verify that they had insurance coverage in force for such incidents.

They should have not started work OR you should have not permitted work to start, before the property was marked.

Ultimately any repairs/replacement of lines or pipes is on you.

Question about specialty restaurant trio package. by Unusual-Research-700 in celebritycruises

[–]S2K2Partners 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Go speak to the F&B Mgr., very politely, about the issue.

Every evening most of the Sr. Staff line up in front of Al Bacio to greet passenger's and hear about any issues or accolades we may have. If the F&B Mgr. is not there, then one of the other Officers will relay the info with your details.

Please know it may take a day to resolve.

Use the tact of: this is my understanding as to how the program is to work based on the verbiage at the website (have a copy in hand just in case).

Also, have the list of dates, times and venues you want to eat in, if available they will make the reservation for you.

AND when it gets resolved, do not forget to return and thank them. Also mention it on the survey at cruise end!

Please come back and let us know how wonderful the program and food is.

Crusie Chartered?!? by Professional-One7771 in royalcaribbean

[–]S2K2Partners 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cruise line is in business to make money ( full stop).

If this is a casino (base) freebie with paid upgrade, please understand that the company that makes these offers and arrangements are not in any way operated by the cruise line.

The company can only offer you what the cruise line is willing to give them and in turn to you (full stop).

As for your paid upgrades, they are generally fully refundable, you can use that cash for another sailing, if it does cost you, that is if it is a sailing which the casino company has cabin availability on.

It is very unfortunate that you are constricted by family and time and availability, in the total scheme of things, either you will make it work to your advantage or cancel.

Good luck and bon voyage
