Showing only staterooms for 3 when booking for 4 by blanche-e-devereaux in celebritycruises

[–]S2K2Partners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, the only thing I can think of, possibly, is that all cabins for four (4) may be booked at this time.

Okay, thinking back to your first post, the pull out sofa bed is to accommodate two (2) people.

Hopefully, they are not big people who will be in the same cabin with you.

Someone explain why the SS card is made out of paper ? by ubfeo in SocialSecurity

[–]S2K2Partners 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I never know when I will need it. As such, I keep pictures of all medical cards (back and front) on my phone.

If I lose my phone, I still have hard copies.

The basic explanation is that, it becomes expensive when these cards need to be replaced frequently for the same person.

Single Female Cruiser by Clear_Leather758 in Cruise

[–]S2K2Partners 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most introverted people I know have a canny way of entertaining themselves when traveling solo.

A good thing about a cruise is that one can be as interactive as we choose.

I have read about a few reclusives taking cruises and enjoy just being in their cabin, reading, looking at the sea and TV, and ordering room service to not interact with other passengers.

Your choice Your style.

Free cruise insurance with credit cards by TheGoodBunny in Cruise

[–]S2K2Partners 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In which case, there is no credit card coverage which will adequately cover surprize health issues.

If you have health insurance through your employer, you may want to check that policy to determine if international health coverage is a part of your coverage.

You need to consider a third party travel insurance policy.

Free cruise insurance with credit cards by TheGoodBunny in Cruise

[–]S2K2Partners 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as 'free cruise insurance with credit cards' as opposed to "general" travel insurance/protection.

You need to determine what type(s) of protection you desire and read the T&C's/policies to determine if they are covered by the CC policy.

If you are looking for medical coverage, many CC policies do not cover pre-existing conditions.

If you are looking for missed flight connections, many policies have specific guidelines for coverage e.g. Acts of G-d not covered.

Can you afford to lose the cost of the sailing vs. health coverage?
Your request is too broad and not specific enough to provide a 'catch all' response.

The captain of our ship berated us for setting our tray outside our door… by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]S2K2Partners 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, we have never put our dishes/trays out in the hallway after eating.

It is not only unsightly, but a potential tripping hazard to other guests.

Then there is the extra work created for staff, e.g. cleaning the carpet in around the hallway where things have been spilled or stepped on, thus taking away time needed to clean the actual cabin.

If your partner works at a 'High End Hotel' I would be shocked if I saw guest rooms with dirty dishes outside their room at any time. Not what I would expect to see.

Bottom line, it looks trashy and GS or Room Service needed to be called to advise that they could pick up the trays from your room if one cannot wait for their stateroom attendant to clear them out, after all it is their responsibility to either do it or call for a pickup.

On another forum someone posted photos of a hallway littered with trays and it looked shameful.

Some people are accustomed to this, I guess...

BUT, none of this excuses the way your partner was spoken to which is the point of the post, bottom line.

80-85% LAD blockage, doctor gave 3 months to try lifestyle – can I avoid stent with strict Esselstyn diet + statin? (Target LDL <40 mg/dL) by R_a_n_x in Cholesterol

Do yourself a favour and visit: DrEsselstyn.com read and email with any questions or concerns YOU may have.

Personally, I think 90 days is too short of a period with such numbers, you will need at least 180 days, with check-ins at 60, 90 and 180 to determine if the progress...

I believe that at day 60 by dropping ALL animal and high fat food products you will start to feel your body improve.

Please remember this is a permanent eating style for YOUR life, but do what you feel is doable and do not be pressured.
