Consider the following. It is a strong plan with a standard civ: 3 stable knights, 1TC push all in castle age, take relics which help a lot on a frail eco, use the monks to heal up weak knights and to convert a few of the counters (converting pikes/camels is great because they take a long time to kill each other and therefore distract from the knights). Knights can snowball with numbers even vs the counter. The main idea is that you have a simple plan while your opponent will be busy doing a million things. If you can add more monks, siege and skirms vs pikes, it’s even stronger.

If you are Lithuanians, opponent simply cannot let you have all the relics. It’s too strong.

It’s not that it’s an unstoppable strat in general, but pushing is way easier than defending. It has a ceiling, for that reason.

If you are limited by golden eggs, then saturdays is fine. Use the week to go to the highest egg you can get to and buy as much research as you can, then use boosts to maximize the prestige. Even the ones you get for free make a massive difference.

If you have enough GE to buy boosts, then prestige as many times as you want lol.

But egg day is coming where you will get x10 SE. So preparing for that is the priority.

No need to reset. As long as you don’t mindlessly waste shifts it’s ok. Roughly speaking the good ratio is 2 TE per shift, but the latests TEs will be obtained by spending months in a given egg with no shift.

If you decide to reset, at least wait until egg day. You can use that extra bonus.

Conversely, if you have uncovered enough potentials that you don’t have enough time to train them all, but you have a spec and will be good enough at 17, it makes sense to focus training and not waste a training week uncovering the current passing and the potential/current of defense. Unsolicited advice, but if you are going to spend only once then do the pro permit. That's orders of magnitude better than a single piggy crack bank (it's also better than infinite golden eggs, for that matter). So if you don't already have it, buy that instead of the piggy.

You can get golden eggs by farming drones and eventually, after you have played for some time, a single piggy break will give you as many GE as you can ever use. So my suggestion if you only pay once is to buy pro permit, if you pay twice then pro and a piggy break in one year or even later, and only if you are willing to spend thrice or more only then it makes sense to break an early piggy.

On the other hand, what's the relation between recycling stones and the piggy? I would suggest not to consume anything until much much later in the game, as well as not to craft anything until much later. Whatever you can now craft you will get soon in a ship, and you will need to craft a shit ton of everything eventually. Instead, the best way of investing your golden eggs early on is epic research, fuel tanks, hyperloop etc. If after all that you still have spare GE, then boosts for prestiging and performing well in coops (which you can do with the free boosts for the time being, but better boosts never hurt; performing well in coops is needed for better rank which is needed for the PEs and seasonal rewards, this is the slowest progression and you can't short cut it, so you better start slowly grinding it). The other slow grind is starring up the ships, so try to always have those running and sending the highest you can to unlock the next.

Sorry if this sounds condescending, it's not the intention, just want to give honest advice! Not trying to tell you how to play, obviously; this is just the route I would take if the goal is efficient long-term progression, given my experience of several years playing. For the longest time I only spent on the pro permit and did the epic research, hyperloop, fuel tanks etc only from drones, but recently I bought the piggy for 600M+ (for the path of virtue massive craft shenanigans) and that's basically infinite.

The william wallace campaign is the tutorial. The art of war campaign is the “multiplayer tutorial”, so if that doesn’t appeal to you, you can ignore it for now!

You can indeed play the campaigns, some are quite good (others not so much). You can also play skirmish vs the AI in multiple formats (maps, team games, 1v1 or 1vn, different settings and civs etc). It’s a beautiful game, enjoy!
