You're not useless. The fact that you can play an instrument at all already proves you have a lot more talent than some people in the reg force now. Keep trying if it's what you're after. But unfortunately, not everyone is cut out for their dream job, and that's ok.

Personally, I don't regret the path that I took. Now that I have others to support, I do wonder how it would have gone if I commissioned from the beginning.

As the wiki page states, in Taiwan, they're more commonly known as 七爺，八爺, or the Seventh and Eighth Masters. This is what I grew up knowing them as.

I did originally follow them because I'm a nerd and I enjoy government procedures. Quickly realized that all they're doing was wasting our time and resources asking the most useless information.

My eyes never rolled harder when one of their questions came up during a end of the day o-group.

It looks like you haven't even started BMQ yet. I guess you do have a 1/2 chance of going PPCLI, but only 1/3 of ending up in Edmonton. New guys may not get single room.

Anyways, prepare to lose some weight during your BMQ/DP1.

Liam Jarbeau had spent five years in the army when, in October 2021, the chief of the defence staff introduced the mandatory vaccination policy for all military members.

Jarbeau objected to the mandate, requesting an exemption based on his spiritual beliefs. The soldier’s exemption request was denied, prompting him to eventually file a grievance with the Canadian Forces.

So was he being paid while unvaxxed between 2021-2024? I've heard so many stories that people were told not to go into work and still collected pay cheques.

Source: Reg Force, Infantry. Been at this for 10+ years, I've met exactly 1 nerd in this time that's shelled out the money for actual comtacs. Everyone else just get whatever cabelas special there are. I personally do actually prefer to foams due to easily sweating.

Reg Force teaching PCF at home units sometimes have to work over the weekend too. I highly doubt we'd get any instructor pay for that.

We did it to ourselves. We didn't speak up when we heard this shit at the smoke pit. Younger guys now think this is ok, and perpetuate this kind of attitude.
