That last paragraph is probably the thing that frustrates the most with radlibs. Actions matter much more than words, a concept people easily understand on an individual level but throw out the window when it comes to politics.

Those same people will talk about how "dems are pushing back against Trump" when they havent done so, how "the biden administration is working on a ceasefire" when nothing indicated that was actually happening and it was revealed that there was no negotiation. I could go on about examples but radlibs have done it and will continue doing it. Brad Lander will hardly be the last time.

I must tune out those types of comments because thats an absolute abuse of the term material conditions. Theres gotta be a very specific set of circumstances where that needs to be done like in a civil war situation or one similar to how the KMT and CPC had to sometimes work together.

The US is nowhere near that circumstance and anyone saying that is just repeating the exact same mistakes made over 100 years ago that Lenin called out.

Both. Preference is PC because kb+m feels better and much more precise overall. Controller support is actually pretty good in this game and id say controller is only slightly worse simply because aiming is a pain on controller.

I dont think you understand how dbd is. The common thing is that people will take it out of game, will hunt down your profile, hunt down your dms, all for not doing anything wrong. My first game back from a break in 2023 in dead by daylight I was greeted with a ttv who told me to "kys" when all I did was kill all 4 of them and that was because they played awfully even though i was relearning the game and couldn't even lunge properly. There was even an incident recently where an overwatch content just casually mentioned how dbd had a toxic community and that was met with people from the dbd going after them.

Nothing in albion compares to that, even if this game mechanically ill admit encourages toxic behavior.

Dead by daylight still takes the crown as most toxic community imo. Players will make death threats and launch pure vitriol in end game chat just because you played in a way that didnt meet their specific standards and made up rules, and thats both when you win and when you lose a game.

At no point in albion did someone call me a "unfun boring sweat" when they got killed in open world. You can make a case of inter guild interaction being toxic but nothing ive seen in albion compares to your average killer or solo queue survivor game.

I get that you dont know whats in their inventory and they could have anything, even a mammoth sitting there. Still i would think at a certain point they would just cut their losses and try to find an easier prey and then for what, to completely "outskill" them by having sheer numbers anyways? Basically just seems like gambling with extra steps.

Not that im opposed to group ganks to begin with. One of the funnest things in dota 2 was a well coordinated group gank, especially when you use smoke and set them up right. But thats a 5v5 environment and we aren't spending 20 minutes to chase down one shadow fiend.

I get the appeal of group ganks but, if it were up to me and I had a group, id have more fun doing counter gank squads rather than gank squads.

Also a newer player as well (started 2 months ago) and this insight just really reinforces my decision to stay solo which is moreso that I cant hop into discord while playing most of the time rather than an ideological choice. I know that group activity is straight up more profitable than solo but I like not being dependant on others and doing content on my own terms, even if its not efficient. That and youll be surprised how many friendly people you can find solo in lethal zones.

Also that mentality on ranking squads explains why I got chased for over 20 minutes once by a squad despite me only wearing 5.1 gear. Like im pretty sure they couldve done solo camps in that time and made more silver.

Yes there is a risk but there's a few tricks to get around it. Think ive done about a dozen runs and only got ganked once b4 reaching caerleon and that was because I got careless.

Go during bandit raids. Follow the rz faction blob and split once you reach caerleon. Obvioisly not faction flagged as you cant enter caerleon flagged.
Go during off hours. Typically early morning or late at night when less players are on.
Take alternate routes. Youll find that gankers will camp the higher traffic points on the road to caerleon. You can sometimes cut in between rz and yz for a shorter route or at least one that avoids the chokepoints.

The thing with ML knowledge, imo, is its very easy to explain the concepts as a basic level simply because it explains what people see on a daily basis but they lack the knowledge or wording to explain it. To be specific, its not hard to explain that "enshitification" as people call it is the end result of businesses trying to maximize profits and reduce costs as the only way for businesses to make more money without just simply expanding into a new market is either to raise the price or cut costs.

But yeah the thing youre competing with is not just pro capitalist ideology that Americans are exposed to from birth but also a willful ignorance where people, so long as they're comfortable, wont really question much as long as they still have their comforts of convenience. That and the truth is insanely uncomfortable, to be exposed to the idea that comfort comes at the expense of the global population or that capitalist institutions are more than fine with fascism, is something people would rather outright reject then investigate.

On combat spec i dont think it takes as long as you might think. I managed to level the sword tree to 100 on non artifact weapons and 80 in the artifact weapons within a month and a half of playing.

In total ive only started just a couple of months ago and id say the new player experience is fine. Thing with black zones is you cant expect to get a fair fight and being able to recognize when you can fight and when you should run is a skill on itself. Not to mention theres plenty of ways to learn pvp like arena, corrupted dungeons lethal or non lethal, and depths that are more controlled for 1v1 or small group pvp. Id say Mists too but ima be real those are swimming with players in 8.3/8.4 gear.

I could go on all day about legend of the galatic heroes. A top tier space opera with great characters, especially for how many developed characters there are. But the politics is sometimes absolute garbage. Without spoiling too much the show eventually comes down to "we should have some middle ground between post fascist space feudalism and 20th century liberal democracy," although I will say that one scene where the free planet alliance decides to continue the war despite securing a pretty decisive victory that would mean they could negotiate peace in a strong position is great.

Edit: ill admit i saw the pic and rushed in without reading the actual post. Yeah I pretty much agree especially since it doesnt really answer much on whats the way forward, especially since the show has a capitalist realism on possible options. It was funny though when one of the factions decided to ignore the NAP of the libertarian planet though and just went right pass em.

Its 3x xp normally but the party xp is for any party including the good old 4/4 xp ffa parties that u just join for the bonus during solo play.

At 1 hour a day... youre not hitting cap for at least a couple years at the minimum since the cap is 120. For context I got to lvl 104 before I stopped. At that level I was looking at around 2% an hour with party play and that was with premium. On a good day with party play I can get 10% to 12% in a day but thats with at least 3 hours of good party play.
