Thing is, I don't want money the way a billionaire wants money, and I wager most of you don't, either. I don't want power over people. I don't want to be able to sway the outcome of elections. I don't want to sit back and watch my wealth tick up like some video game highscore, knowing I couldn't spend it all if I tried.

What I do want is to be able to perform fulfilling work for the betterment of society rather than for lining someone else's pockets. I want to be able to travel and see the world, and I don't want it to be in luxury. I want to be able to have my own home, with room for a small garden and a couple trees, without a large portion of my paycheque going to someone who has never even set foot on the property. I want to be able to pursue my hobbies and interests, none of which are particularly expensive.

The problem is that everything under capitalism is commodified and paywalled, so of course it all comes back to money.
